I hate that film. One of my profs makes us watch a little bit of it every single day.
Has nothing about Islam in SouthAsia.
Made for Western audiences.

Manufacturing Consent is awesome, but it puts me to sleep.
Chomsky =
Also, the book is better.

No doubt. Chomsky is a national treasure.
It's def not up to the standards of most docs made these days, but it has a special place in my heart because I watched it as a wee lad and it made a big impression.
The book is better but considerably denser. I don't think I really read it all the way through 'till I was in my early 20's. That mofo always so thorough......the referencing alone could make up a whole 'nother book.

Seriously, Chomsky is brilliant.
If we could combine Chomsky, Finkelstein, and Juan Cole into a single being with laser eyes, the world would be awesome.

Word. A scholarly incarnation of Voltron.
The forces of hegemony wouldn't stand a chance.
