I'm going to be seeing "The Orphanage" on Sunday night. To my understanding, that is supposed to be one of the scariest movies of the year.

 thats what I meant, I always forget wether its happy or funny. I havent seen the original, but the remake is SUPER scary to me

In my opinion the point of the movie is that there is no point. Look at how the 2 respond every time the family asks them why they are doing this. Also, the rewind scene was really weird and threw me off,but I think it was a clever idea to try, after all it is just a movie.

I think the point has to do with movie violence, violence as entertainment, and real-world violence. Or so the pretentious movie snobs on the internet seem to think. The rewind was clever but the movie wouldve been better without it imho. I really dont know what to make of it...

Embarrassed to admit it now, but the blair witch project freaked me the hell out when I first saw it; was still in high school back then.

excorcism and excorcism of emily rose arent scary at all. childs play was freaky. ring wasnt that scary. grudge, the asian version, was awesome. that kid is so creepy, but not as creepy as his mom...and that sound the mom makes....:shudder:
i didnt get the ending though, for grudge 2.  |

Blair with freaked me out too...thats because i was 18 and i watched it around 2AM and had to walk through a Forest to get home..yeah animals make scary sounds at that time of night...
