There are so many scenes from so many movies its tough to pick and choose. The opening action scene in Face/Off is definitely a work of art (Castor Troy has to be one of my favorite villains with the ruby red sunglasses and gold plated dual 1911s ), the car chase scene in matrix reloaded (When the agent leaps onto a moving car with such force that it flies up and away through the air ), the ending of Memento, the dream sequence in Requiem For A Dream, etc.

Awesome picks all around in this thread but I cosign your choices heavily Trent.....minus Face Off (it was good but not that good lol).

Watch it again while ignoring the silly plot concerning face switching and boring family values. John Woo and his team are master action choreographers, his work on the movie Hard Boiled is unmatched in my opinion.

Yeah bro........John Woo is a dangerous man. I actually really enjoyed Face Off (saw it in the theatre) but not enough for any scenes to really stand out many years later. I'll watch it again some time......it's been like 10-11 years since I saw it.

I agree that its not the best movie overall, but there are some pretty cool moments in this movie that are worth enjoying, I have it on DVD. I would definitely have to say the movie Solaris is also fantastic, the ending scene is but the nudity is more than usual and completely unnecessary. Of course there are the classic scenes like Tony Montana with the M60 (?) taking on the assassins, pretty much any scene in the Godfather movies, and lets not forget cartoons! The caterpillar scene in Alice in Wonderland, when arthur pulls the sword from the stone...the list just goes on and on!

Re: Movie moments that make you giddy
^^^^^^^^
Solaris is definitely under-appreciated, the pace was a bit slow and the nudity was totally gratuitous but the whole movie hearkened back to classic sci-fi novels. I liked it.
Some of my picks
Closing scene of Usual Suspects
When my man Ethan Hawke's charater is nearly found out.
Predator.....when Arnold dupes old ugly-face

Re: Movie moments that make you giddy
this was the most memorable/painful scene from face off.
Cage: id like to take his face, off
guy: you want to take his face, off?
Cage: his face, OFFFF
guy: FACE, OFF
the pauses between face and off were so retarded
i did enjoy it though

No doubt a good scene, but I felt it was sort of labored...like they tried too hard to top his line from The Bourne Supremacy: "She's standing right next to you."

Agreed, never saw all the hoopla about any of those movies, they were ok but not acadamy award winning slam bang have all end all movies and only the first one wasnt totally boring.
