Re: The Happening
Actually, the full sypnosis is:
"After mankind abuses the earth, the earth physically fights back by all the plants producing toxins that cause people to violently kill themselves. Mark Wahlberg's character tries to find a way to survive 'The Happening"
But yeah, I want to see it. Especially in the tradition of watching scary movies on Friday the 13th.

Re: The Happening
Normally I would be angry but I heard the movie is his worst yet. I feel so bad for the guy. Great director but crap writer. Or is his directorship a bakwaas too?

Re: The Happening
Dude, I found out some of the ways people kill themselves in the movie:
*potential spoilers below*
1) One guy feeds himself to lions
2) One guy lies on the ground in front of a huge lawnmower and gets run over
3) A lady slashes her throat with a dagger-ish thingy
4) Countless people are hung, shot, and jump off tall buildings

Re: The Happening
My neice is one of the extras in the movie. She even said it was not worth watching at the movies.

To be honest, the only thing I was wondering about it was, why are they killing themselves? I had no desire to see it at all, but I was curious about that. Now that I know, I don't need to do anything with it.
As for the guy... We all know Sixth Sense was amazing, Unbreakable was ok. But honestly, doesn't he have a panel or something of people to tell him "Hey, this movie is terrible" for all the rest of them?

Re: The Happening
Seems like a pretty good premise. I think maybe it was just the execution. 'Cause I saw the trailers and the acting was a joke.
