Of course the plot was horrible too, and as an avid fan of the games, it was just a train wreck to see.

At least the first Mortal Kombat was decent.
At least Street Fighter was amusing. In spite of everyone thinking otherwise, both Mortal Kombat movies were probably the worst movies ever made.

The worst movie I have ever seen and could not finish was Dirty Love starring Jenny McCarthy. My friend rented it one night. It was extremely crude and graphic in describing menstruation jokes, drunkeness and other low blows. I cant believe a studio financed such a disgusting movie.

One of the worst I can think of is "Hannibal Rising"

Oh, and "Waterworld". And "The Postman." I went through a long, protracted Kevin Costner hating phase around that time.

Silly, you're SUPPOSED to go to sleep durring those kinds of documentaries! Thats the trick you see, they put them on at ~8pm, which is right before bed for most kids. The subject matter is usually really dry, and the narator almost always have a soft, soothing voice. Parents make their kids watch the documentary, the kids fall asleep, then the parents carry them to bed. It's a natural sleep aid!

8mm. It was terrible and boring and I didn't make it through the whole thing. I can't remember any other time that ever happened to me.

No it wasn't. It wasn't! The fight scenes lacked the excitement of a Jackie Chan movie and they were few and far between. Every other scene was plagued with the worst dialogue I've ever heard.

I'm more surprised that you found the SF movie to be entertaining. As if the casting weren't a killer enough, the dialogue was really just as bad as the MK, the fight scenes were downright awkward and they used like zero of the characters' signature moves.

The plot was abysmal as well. They took the characters and twisted everything that made the game great until they were the characters in name only, if even that. Sagat is an arms runner? Dhalsim is a scientist? Guile is Belgian? Chun-Li is a reporter? WTF

AND SINCE WHEN IS CHARLIE BLANKA?!?!?

Pootie Tang was probably the worst, yet the best movie I've seen. It's so horribly done and acted. The story line is so crappy and the jokes are soooo corny, but for some reason, every single time it's on I watch it and laugh. I love the last part of the film with Bob Costas.

Pootie Tang: Cole me on the panny sty.
Bob Costas: ...I'm sorry. What was that?
Pootie Tang: Cole - Cole me on the panny sty.
Bob Costas: What the hell are you talking about?
Pootie Tang: ...Cole me down on the panny sty?
Bob Costas: Oh, cole me down on the panny sty! All right!

If you don't get it, you have to see it.

I appreciate a little bit of creative liscense instead of a mere rehash of the game's plot. But the reason Street Fighter was superior to Mortal Kombat is because it wasn't trying to take itself seriously. Even Raul Julia hamming it up as Bison just showed the underlying fact that all involved KNEW the movie would be completely absurd. There is not one good thing about Street Fighter, but all Street Fighter wanted to be WAS a bad movie. So it was intentionally camped so over-the-top and made completely ridiculous that it became one of those so-great-it's-bad movies.

Mortal Kombat was different. It was actually trying to be art. It was taken too seriously, and no one was having any fun - with the possible exception of Linden Ashby, who played Johnny Cage - so it came off without an appropriate deferral to the video game that inspired it.
