Ugh, that's so many. It's gonna take a whole year.
I watch them online (thanks Meraj ) and I'm always doing other stuff at the same time, so I have to keep rewinding and stuff. I'll probably get bored halfway through. Honestly, I'm not very good at watching TV. Even when I see movies sometimes, I get bored halfway through. And I wanna know what happened, but I don't want to watch it, so I go online and see what happened at the endi. ![]() Sumi: Well, that's a few months. And generally, you have more time in the summer (if you're a student anyway). I've heard a lot about Lost (and Prison Break too) but I've never seen even a single episode. Should I watch them, just to stay culturally relevant? But then when you start watching TV... how do you pick which shows to watch? I'd have to watch Heroes too then 'cause everybody seems to like that also. And Ugly Betty and House and Grey's Anatomy and Arrested Development and Brothers and Sisters and Dexter and Firefly. Where does it end? I don't really care that much about staying culturally relevant. You end up knowing what the shows are about anyway just 'cause they're everywhere; you just... don't actually watch them. Though I'd probably like Firefly. 'Cause I like Joss Whedon.

i think it took me about a months time to watch all the past seasons. but then, thats ALL i was doing, really. like back to back to back, especially because lost was so interesting and addictive, and the office was beyond hilarious. i miss those days
![]() as far as picking what shows to watch... i tend to avoid shows like greys because i feel like its the same old story in a different costume. i dont see much difference between greys and say a daytime soap opera. thats also why i dont watch desperate housewives or one tree hill or gossip girl, or whatever else is popular. if the story doesn't have anything beyond dating and sex, i'm just not interested. same goes for comedies. the office and 30 rock (which i enjoy and watch regularly) are completely different from shows like two and a half men (which basically is just line after line of sex jokes coupled with story after story pertaining to one man's sexual encounters). i've seen a few episodes of heroes (my husband's an addict), and it seemed pretty interesting. i may go back and catch up with that one. bottom line, since i'm a tv junkie with taste (ha!), i've learned not to follow the crowd when it comes to crappy useless shows. i think it just depends on your interests...

![]() If you're gonna watch Sitcoms, the 90s one are where it's at: Friends, Seinfeld, Frasier. Those are things I watch with my family. My little brother mentioned Cheers the other day and I was like "How do you know Cheers?" 'Cause it's before his time, but I guess he's seen re-runs or whatever. Friends is really interesting to see 'cause you know it was the show that informed a whole generation of people... in the values it imparted. That effects us today, even if they're values you think you haven't imbibed, but also, a lot has changed too. Especially interesting to me 'cause I only started watching it after it was over. Usually what's on at my house is the Comedy Network... we watch a lot of stand-up and the shows of some comedians... Jon Dore, Margaret Cho, Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, whoever. Wonder why Russell Peters doesn't have his own show yet. Also, Colbert and Jon Stewart. The bros like Family Guy and I enjoy it sometimes too. So yeah, we're usually watching the Comedy Network and so it's not any of the new dramas/melodramas. The only thing that comes close to that that we ever watch are Law & Order and House. My parents are always like "What's wrong with him/her?" It's always lupus. Or something sexually transmitted that's difficult to explain to them, haha. ![]() Family-friendly programming is... the Family Channel. We like Life with Derek, Raven, and The Suite Life. And Hannah Montana (used to be the show with Hilary Duff before Hannah Montana became big). Parents like CNN and the desi channels. ![]() And Millionaire and Jeopardy. Baby bro/cousins like Treehouse, so we also watch a lot of Dora and Diego and Franklin and the Backyardigans. Different ages and cultures... diverse tastes.

The office is one of my addictions. When I was at my previous job I felt like I was Jim. These days I feel more like Jan (season 1 jan that is)..
