Yeah dude I haven't laughed so hard since Harold & Kumar 2. I was totally surprised at Franco's performance; best scene: "F*** the po-lice!"

I think it's time to watch all three of the extended versions of lord of the rings again. I can't count how many times i've seen them now
Good Night and Good Luck has always had some kind of social significance. My major in college was media, and Good Night and Good Luck is based on actual events, and the movie is accurate right to the point that Joseph McCarthy played himself despite the noteworthy handicap of being long dead.

What happened was that McCarthy went around just accusing random people of being communists, and Murrow just got fed up with him and became an attack dog against McCarthy's tactics. But it wasn't Murrow who did McCarthy in - it was McCarthy's attempt to level accusations at the Army on television. His undoing was America's horrified reaction to the Senator's techniques, and the quote at the end of the movie - "Have you no sense of decency, sir?" - the Army's lawyer said to McCarthy is very famous. It's a shame America today loves the techniques it once abhored when McCarthy was usuing them.

You can never watch Lord of the Rings too often!

Hellboy - I liked it

Strange Culture - I urge you guys to watch this doc....or at least become familiar with the story it chronicles. It follows Steve Kurtz, an artist and scholar who has endured a bizarre government witch hunt conducted under the guise of "Homeland Security". Freedom of speech, genetically modified foods and government acquiescence to a corporate mandate are all issues involved in this precedent setting case. The doc itself is a little artsy-fartsy and the director makes some challenging choices in terms of presentation but overall it's worth the watch.

I enjoyed Pineapple Express too but Tropic Thunder was way better. Franco and Rogen have excellent comedic timing and what not, but nothing beats Ben Stiller's brand of sarcastic, satirist humor.

House Bunny - total waste of money. Boring, stupid, and totally over the top. Anna Faris is the only redeeming thing about the whole debacle, and that aint saying much.
