Saw Tropic Thunder at midnight last night.....

I thought it was hilarious, reminded me alot of Zoolander. Definitely worth seeing!

Ghost World

haha, they made scarlett johansson look (almost) ugly.
the movie was pretty funny, but the characters were so incredibly mean that after a while it stopped being funny and just made me uncomfortable/depressed.

I saw "American Teen" the other day. More of a documentary than movie but they were playing it at the theaters. I have never laughed so hard at the movies. It was hilarious!

Never Back Down - super lame, decent fight scenes and the main guy is a dead ringer for a young tom cruise, but otherwise total nonsense.

The Bank Job - Another clunker, way overrated. Boring, long, and cheeky in a really bad way. Only redeeming part was Saffron Burrows

The Band's Visit

DAMN YOU MUSLIMZ for telling me this movie was family-friendly. yes, one sex scene, even if it lasts for 4 seconds, makes a movie NON-FAMILY-FRIENDLY and SUPER-AWKWARD to watch with one's mom.

i didn't really think the movie was even that interesting or funny. there was a grand total of one scene that made me laugh

Actually, afrakabob only enjoys films that involve forbidden transgendered, african-eskimo midget kitten love; and things of that nature.

The Band's Visit is a fantastic film.

Persepolis

as always, the book was better. but i was impressed by how well-done the movie was. they used drawings alone (and most of the movie was in black and white), and yet somehow they managed to make the story come to life. i actually cried , which i don't think i did while reading the novel. i may have cried more than once

OMG five of my favorite topics rolled into one movie. if that movie existed, i would watch it and give it EXCELLENT reviews on Islamica.

and im sure it would be MUCH better than The Band's Visit. even if the kittens weren't midgets, but merely transgendered and african-eskimo.
