Re: Movies Watched Recently
Saw Alfie again today (Jude Law version). Despite it's bad reviews, I really like this film.

I saw that yesterday, I liked it too. It was corny, but in a cute way. The part where he throws up in the airplane was sick. I almost threw up too.

Re: Movies Watched Recently
Saw Wanted..........action sequences were tight. Story and character development was pretty thin but it delivered the goods. Firmly in summer/popcorn/brain-off category.......it was cool.
Waiting anxiously for The Dark Knight.

Ditto. Didn't like it either. And Forrest Whittaker seemed pretty creepy whenever they showed him with that little girl.

Word.
When I saw the 5 minute trailer I was floored. I didn't think I could anticipate this movie any more than I already do but that Kevin Smith endorsement is huge. That dude is a certified comic buff.
That trailer does look promising indeed........apocalyptic visions of the destruction of earth involving aliens =

Re: Movies Watched Recently
Hancock.
Beginning was hilarious, looked fun right up until the middle, when suddenly it became one of those "why am I sitting here" movies.
I've been tempted to walk out of every movie I've seen this summer.

Because if it is only second best, I want to know what he thinks the best was.

Agreed, I think the MPAA was on Peter Pergs butt the whole time to make sure its a satisfactory PG-13 movie, and also to run in a shorter time to keep everyones attention. I think if that movie was 30-40 minutes longer with a more developed back story, it would have been awesome AND funny.

I think he meant it is THE ULTIMATE comic book movie EVER.

Its based on a classic 1951 movie, the director of Hellraiser and The Exorcism of Emily Rose is helming it, the cast is VERY promising, it will be good to see Keanu Reeves back in the movieplex, and I am hopelessly in love with Jennifer Connelly
