Most of the comic book movies undergo some sort of deviation from the original comic book script. I don't think that was the problem with the hulk.

While the special effects in the hulk were pretty kickass, it had some gaping holes in the plot near the end. *SPOILER ALERT* For example, the hulk, after being supposedly 'cured', jumps off the helicopter and turns into the hulk again? What about the other green mutant, after the hulk subdues him? The guy didn't die, and didn't try to fight back, and they just sort of ignored him then. Also, while Ed Norton is a solid actor, I'm not sure he made a convincing hulk.

Bruce Banner cannot change the effects of the Gamma Radiation, it is in his DNA. He jumped off the plane in order to get his adrenaline rushing, as it is the trigger for him turning into the Hulk. That scene was an amazing part of the movie its too bad you didnt understand it.

"Banner, realizing that he is the only one who can stop the monster, convinces General Ross to release him. He jumps from Ross' helicopter as it hovers over the city, hoping the fall will trigger a transformation. Banner's plan succeeds, and after a brutal battle, the Hulk defeats Blonsky by nearly strangling him to death with a huge chain, relenting his grip only after Betty's plea. The Hulk then flees the scene with the army in pursuit."
Hate to quote wiki but it pretty much says it all right there.

He is a solid actor I will agree, I think he took the character in a different direction that people had been expecting because he is so hands on with the movies he makes. The ONLY movie hes ever made that I didnt like was The Italian Job, and that is a matter of personal taste not his performance.

Watched "Shake Hands With the Devil"

An adaptation of the book by the same name....recounting General Romeo Dallaire's experience (and personal trauma) in Rwanda. Although I was pretty familiar with this story in advance of watching the movie it was still tough to watch.

Conclusion........Humans suck....this is by no means limited to Rwanda, just an observation. Our predilection for killing on the basis of contrivances ("ethnicity", "tribe" etc) in pursuit of some real or imagined power is pretty depressing.

Whenever I'm about to lose faith in humanity...which is pretty often these days I'm reminded of this verse in Surah Al-Baqarah

And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, - while we glorify You with praises and thanks (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners) and sanctify You." He (Allâh) said: "I know that which you do not know."

I picked up the most recent Rambo movie, the only one to just be called Rambo.

Seriously, there is so much violence. I mean, it's just over the top. It might be the most graphic violence I've ever seen in a movie besides 300. I so hope that's not how it really is over there.

Overall it's a decent movie, but I don't know what they did with Stallone; must be clever camera angles I guess, because he is just huge. It's like they got Jose Canseco to do every scene and then just pasted Stallone's face on top.

I also bought Enemy of the State. I'd had a talk with a friend about her home network security and how unsecure cell phones are and stuff, and it reminded me of that movie, so I checked it out for old time's sake. My wife didn't even believe that stuff was possible, and I said "Not only was it possible... That was like a decade ago when they were doing this; think what they're doing now."

Running With Scissors

In 1972, the neatness-obsessed but sharply observant 6-year-old Augusten finds himself trapped between his troubled parents: his mother Deirdre, an unpublished--not to mention unstable--confessional poet with delusions of being hugely famous; and his father Norman, an alcoholic math professor who long ago gave up trying to solve the riddle of his wife's problems or his son's precocious behavior. When the Burroughs' marriage goes to pieces, Deirdre signs up for therapy with the eccentric Dr. Finch, a highly unconventional shrink who takes the family under his wing. From the beginning, Augusten is suspicious of Dr. Finch's peculiarities, but when Dr. Finch fails to save the Burroughs' marriage, Augusten's life takes an even more wrenching turn. While Deirdre is packed off to a motel to continue her Valium-aided therapy, Augusten is sent to live in the Finch family home--a kind of Brady-Bunch-gone-bad world where for some dog kibble is a snack, sedatives are consumed like candy and grand prophecies emerge from the bathroom. Soon Augusten unwittingly becomes part of the family comprised of: the shell-shocked Mrs. Finch, "Bible-dipping" daughter Hope, disco-rebel daughter Natalie and Neil Bookman, the disturbed, 35-year-old, "adopted" son who lives in a shed at the back of the house; along the way Augusten descends into a kind of surreal childhood hell. Yet, he also finds optimism among the horror, hilarity in the insanity and even love amid the dilapidated ruins as he never loses his spirit or his resilience.

I loved that movie!!
