The Happening - Not half as bad as I expected (People are too critical these days). Granted Mark Whalburg's acting was horrible, but the premise was excellent and pretty scary. Also for the record, they were not RUNNING FROM _ _ _ _ _ _ like everyone says!!! They were panicking and scared, anyone would have reacted the same way. And of course, Zooey Deschanel is

I gotta disagree. A good M. Night movie would have been revealing what was causing it at the end, not name dropping the source all the way through with hippies and anti-social professors. He'd be better off writing 30 minute Twilight Zone episodes because every time I watch one of his new films (Village, Lady in the Water and now this) I feel like I see him screaming, "I don't know how to end movies!"

agreed.

plus i think the "happening" could easily have been avoided by use of gas masks.

and it was lame when that dude with the daughter saw that little slit in the roof of the jeep and just stared at it and continued with a lame math problem instead of just covering it with something.

also, the wife was annoying as hell.

and wahlberg should stick to movies like shooter. he can't do scary movies.

and howwwww convenient the stupid plant toxins disappear JUST as the couple is about to reunite "dramatically." barffffffff sooooo dumb!!!

it's a good thing i didn't pay to see this movie. if i did, i'd have no problems going up to the ticket office and asking for a refund.

I think you were too busy playing amateur detective hour to realize he didnt name drop ANYTHING because he never said what it ACTUALLY was! M Night has alot of interesting sources for the bits he was "name dropping", all of it was based in some way on real theories. You can read some of it here: Bloody Disgusting - Interview The Happening: Cast and Crew Panel Discussion

I agree, his movies need to be alot less preachy and shorter.

i was really excited to see Christian Bale in this movie but i was a bit disappointed. i feel like it had no plot whatsoever. and i feel bad saying this cause he's one of my favorites but white boy can NOT act gangster dude, stick to movies like Equilibrium and musicals

I saw that too. It was good in an odd way...and very sad. But for some reason time just seemed so rushed through the whole thing. I also saw Mistress of Spices with Aishwarya. Another Indian-Western type movie that didn't turn out well. I really liked Bend it like Beckham and also Bride and Prejudice though, so cheesy but so

I am trying to convince Mr. Jellymill to go get a movie, I feel so icky and gross to go to Blockbuster. I want to see I Am Sam, I've heard it's really good but I think it's a crying sorta movie, something i should watch with a friend.

What are some good movies to watch with the mister? I don't like action crap all the time.

Watched the Hulk. It ranks up there with Iron Man, which both rank in the top 10% of the movies released thus far this year.

Kung Fu Panda - Actually funny and entertaining. I enjoyed, very action packed for a cartoon with cool animation.
