To Catch a Thief- 1955, Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, it was okay but not that great, the plot was meh, Grace Kelly didn't come across as great of an actress nor as good looking as she's made to sound, Grant's tan was so dark he looked desi, the ending was kinda flat. I expected better of a Hitchcock film. But it was interesting to see the French court style costumes at the costume ball scene, and the 1950s day dresses/skirt ensembles.

The Man Who Knew Too Much- 1956 Hitchcock film, wasn't bad. despite the fake azan in "Morocco" (a set) and "the Muslim religion allows for few mistakes" weirdness in the beginning. Those parents totally didn't keep an eye on the kid. James Stewart is a good actor. Doris Day wasn't bad either. 1950s evening/cocktail dresses were pretty but the day time women's suits looked rather uncomfortable, too fitted. The one Doris Day was wearing reminded me of the designer Adrian's suits. The menswear Stewart was wearing looked pretty contemporary, I liked the brown suit and hat.

Resident Evil Extinction - After not watching a movie for weeeks and weeks, THIS dribble was the WORST choice by far. Boring, Soulless, formulaic and to top it all off, ITS A GIRL POWER MOVIE!!!! Worse than the first 2 combined.

Death on the Nile- I loved it great cast, great setting and costumes, captivating plot (it's based on a Agatha Christie book). Made in 1978 but set in the '30s. A rich heiress is found murdered and Hercule Poirot has to solve the mystery. It was filmed in Egypt so you got a tour of some temples and pyramids. The actors were so right for their roles. I loved Poirot. And there was a desi actor too, I.S. Johar, he was hilarious. The scenes were fast paced, just like her books.
Death on the Nile (1978)
favorite quotes:
Poirot: Do not let evil into your heart, it will make a home there.
Mr. Chowdary (I.S. Johar) : I grovel in mortification, I grovel. (except that he pronounced grovel
as growel).

Antoni Gaudi- short film in spanish (subtitled) on his life and works, he was a Spanish architect in the 1880s-1920s. My friend went to Spain and showed me photos of the buildings he designed, I really like them, it's like a mix of gothic and art nouveau with a whimsical touch.

Well this has to be a first. Me, disagreeing with Moonstar.
I don't think there are many actresses around now, with the late Grace Kelly's looks and style.
I've long been a 'fan' of hers. I just loved her wardrobe. Not matter what, she *always* looked impecable and carried herself like a lady at ALL times. The complete antithesis of 'stars' these days such as Ms Hilton, et al.
I agree she wasn't the greatest of actresses [I leave that to the French actresses such as Isabel Adjani, Emmanuel Beart] but she was so pretty and just epitomised the word elegance.
Sis was this the movie in which she wore that amazingly beautiful powder blue chiffon number? Oh, it was just one of the most beautiful dresses I've laid eyes on and only someone of her ilk could pull it off.

I've only seen one movie of hers so perhaps I'm being hasty, but other than her lackluster acting, it just seemed like her impeccable look took a lot of work and her acting didn't seem natural. I think Kelly came across as more a model than an actress in the film and her acting seem forced, so that made her kind of boring. A lead character can't be just a pretty face. (Also I don't think she's that pretty, the lines of her face have a strong/masculine like thing about it, I'd say she's more a handsome woman, but everyones got their own opinion and she's definitely better looking than a lot of others).
I didn't notice that dress, she wore a white number in this one, lemme know if you remember what movie that's in.

Really? A friend of mine directs films and he said he hated it. I didn't mind it though, it was entertainment
Better than Die Hard 4, that was too cheesy, good action scenes though, shame about the blondie.

Um, I hated it too. I never said I liked it. I merely said the review I wrote of it was the best I've ever written.
