I just watched it, I liked it. Yeah Back To the Future's explanation of time travel sounded more convincing, but I guess they didn't want to sound too futuristic so the system had to be flawed with its weak signals and out of range, it sounded like a bad cell phone company. That car chase/goggle scene was added just for the sake of having a car chase in there. I guess his agent friend guy wasn't in the parallel time route while he does end up being in one which is why he ends up as he does in the end. *spoiler* which means when they bring up the car, his dead body should be inside so it's like what that guy told him would happen. (The one who helps him with that time travel chamber that hamsters couldn't get through).

exactly!
oh man back to the future completely shaped all of my beliefs on movie time travel. seriously. like if i see a movie and they deviate from the rules that bttf set up, i think, no no no! that's not right!
except for the whole slowly disappearing part. he should either be there or not there. but yeah.

Party Girl- 1995 movie about an irresponsible trashy girl who has to work as a library clerk in the NY Public Library while trying to pay her rent and figure out her future. It was hilarious, the actress played the role really well, Mustafa the falafel vendor/love interest was a nice touch and the falafel competitor across the street. A lot of funny lines and the ending was great. Some profanity and nudity, fastforwarding required.

Strangers on a Train- Alfred Hitchcock movie about a guy who's blackmailed for murder by some psycho guy he meets on a train. Good cast and story but the middle was too drawn out, I get that they wanted to build the suspense but it was more like anxiety, you just wanted him to tell the police already. Or at least have someone watch your back. The ending was good though.

3:10 to Yuma. Amazing western piece. Everyone in it is well acted and developed. I smell an Oscar for someone when time comes around.

Top Hat- 1935 film with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It was cute, the plot was kinda goofy but it was fun to watch and see the 30s costumes (I love 30s evening dresses, the most feminine and flattering silhouettes than the other decades, lots of bias satin gowns), Astaire was a charismatic actor and a good singer/dancer too. The tap dance numbers reminded me of Happy Feet.

I was at a dance class a while back, and they were talking about Fred and Ginger, and I said 'Fred and who?'... I felt so un-cultured.
Anyway, I just watched Apocalypto. I think there's something wrong with Mel Gibson.

I love those old romantic musicals. They just make you feel good watching them. Cheek to Cheek is one of my favorite numbers. Here's a clip of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing from the film.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea- 1954 movie. the book was better but the movie was interesting to watch with much fastforwarding, it's a little slow. Kirk Douglas was really annoying but Captain Nemo and the professor were right for the part. I liked the giant squid's snappy beak
