Deel: does anyone remember the musical Rent? i think it came out back in 2005
I love musicals but I hated Rent.
I just watched Atonement. It was decent. Not all that it was hyped up to be.

Atonement was a load of crap. i don't think i'll ever understand the reason for all it's glory and fame.

The Day the Earth Caught Fire - 1961
very good, it had the natural elegance and humour of a black and white film.

Re: Movies Watched Recently
Watched Malcom X again....wow, I do not remember it being this good...aside from the amazing story, just so well directed...Spike Lee is a genius...Denzel should have won the Oscar...his performance was nothing less than phenomenal...this movie is now arguably in my top 5

Re: Movies Watched Recently
Hacking Democracy
An excellent documentary about the machines used to vote in America and how easily susceptible they could be to mistake or alteration if intended. It showed how a group of people just decided that they HAD to do something and learnt about the GEM system; what it controlled and how they tested the equipment. They obtained their information by sheer persistence and i found that impressive. Also, they didn't make conspiracy theories and allowed the possibility that the machines could be so badly designed that they were unable to count the votes, which i felt was reasonable.
Very admirable and much needed!
