MC: well, it does lead the industry when it comes to woolly mammoth effects, i gotta give it that much

Sorry. I obviously wasn't paying much attention to the woolly mammoths.

10,000 B.C. - battle scenes were great, good movie to watch in theaters. A bit reminiscient of Apocalypto

Semi-Pro - Funny movie, but not Will Farrell's best.

Word.

That was exactly my reaction. However the friends I went with didn't exactly enjoy it as much....one said it was "Okay" the other said it was crap...Ultimately it comes down to ones taste i guess.

i got dragged to "juno" a few days ago.

i wanted badly to hate it as soon as i heard what it was about, but i didn't. it was amusing.

juno's dad was very well cast. so was juno.

it tried a little too hard to convey the bohemian-flavored oddball minneapolis hipness but overall did a good job (hard to explain unless you've lived in it, kind of reminds me of seattle)

juno's lack of awareness of appropriate behavior in different settings was too exaggerated.

overall a pretty decent movie, considering it didn't have any gangsters in it.

My husband and sister didn't much like it. And my dad won't see it because he swears at that time woolly mammoths were not as big compared to humans [humans were much taller at that time], so that alone makes him not want to see it.

It wasnt meant to be realistic. It isnt a history lesson.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - AWESOME movie. Very slow pacing, but that is something you have to get used to in order to appreciate quality film making. Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck were spectacular!

Funny Games - Another slow movie but what a movie it is! This has to be THE scariest movie I have seen since Event Horizon 10 years ago. The director has a very unique style that is interesting and the actors totally nailed their parts. I recommend for anyone who has the patience.

City of God - AMAZING movie about Brazilian slums and the cold hard life the people who live there have to endure. Extremely violent and disturbing.

atonement: erm, why didn't i finish the book to know NOT to watch the film? I liked her green dress though

the departed: ARGH! Hate the ending for leo, he was great in this film.So glad he moved away from the pretty boy image, tho i still think he was good for romeo and juliet

click: (the) frick?! (STUPID! the main guy is always so dumb.why.)

ultraviolet: ....no.

juno: i liked the girl, hated the potential adoptive father, stupid childish perv. the film was slooww and kinda gross really.

---

need to think of happy films. any suggestions? As boy-ish as possible.

I think it was the lack of acting talent in the ensemble. Crowe and Washington were merely ok, and that isnt enough to carry a movie with such hype.

I felt really disconnected from both characters - Crowe and Washington's. Like I said I dunno. I'm sure stopping half way through to go to the gym contributed to the disconnection .

Jumper - useless film.. didn't care for the main character.. wanted him dead... one of those movies where I wanted the bad guy to prevail. i guess bad acting is to blame. .. it seems someone had an idea and they tried to construct a story around it... failed.

the Brave One - what a piece of garbage. ...too predictable and lame. made me appreciate the Jumper
