oh WOW, i cried so bad at that part. that was sooooo brave. quite possibly the best part of the entire movie.

I don't think you should call your own father a coward.

And mine never told us that. Neither did my mom actually.
They told us never to start fights but to defend ourselves if somebody started one with us.

today, i had a blind movie date with bunch of friends..the movie was their pick of the week..it was 1000 B.C. very mythological type, not historical at all..Posters for this movie looked deceptively interesting and i had somewhat high expectation of this movie or friend`s choice of movie..i guess both..surprisingly enough, i walked out of the theater barfing and i found myself constantly leaving the theater to get ``some fresh air``..full of drama, i wish actors would not speak at all..and whats with the bollywoodish ending....

i finally watched kite runner!
loved it loved it loved it.
i want to watch it again. i loved it!
i did feel like the movie went by too quickly. there are so many little things that were left out
it's true when they say books are better. they're always better
but all in all it was great! i can't wait to watch it again

ps: the very last scene in the end when Amir says, "For you, a thousand times over." to Sohrab especially made me
that wasn't in the book but definitely a nice finishing touch.

Abu Hazim replied, “Because you have built and established this world and you have destroyed your Aakhirah, so you hate to go from what you have established to what you have destroyed.”

No Country for Old Men- It had interesting action sequences and the mexican guy with fruity hair was pretty cool... the movie was kind of overrated though. I was expecting something more like Fargo

The Assassination of Jesse James etc- This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life

Chaos- pretty corny action movie, but I like Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes so it was alright

La Haine- extremely interesting French movie about minority youths living in projects on the outskirts of Paris and their conflicts with police brutality and poverty. It predicted the outbreak of violence in Paris suburbs that happened several years later. Awesome movie
