its not based on any translation of the poem, its just a very loose adaptation of the poem's story, with alot of major changes, new characters, etc

Re: Movies Watched Recently
So I went to see, "The Other Boleyn Girl". Two thumbs down. Good acting. But the fact they tried to "base" it off the book was total BS. They didn't follow anything except Katherine of Aragons plea. I was very disappointed.

Re: Movies Watched Recently
I won't read the book of the other bolyen girl because everyone has been saying that the movie is no where as near as good as the book and I really want to see the movie.
I saw Crank...garbage.

Trust me, the unrated version is actually very enjoyable. Do they show Grendel ripping people apart, among other things, in the tavern?

really? I thought the movie was terrible. It was just aggravating...and some parts were too slow...and other parts should have been elaborated upon further.
I went and saw semi pro shortly afterwards to lift the agitation. who wouldve thought. now that was a pretty funny pointless movie.

And no way should that have been PG-13. Angelina Jolie and Beowulf are completely naked and it shows full frontal and backs. And it's brutally violent. One guy gets his head bitten off by Grendall and you see Grendall chewing the head and you hear the crunching noises and everything. Other people are ripped to pieces and impaled on various objects and blood spills and sprays.
But yeah, very good movie.

saw it last night. i felt like i was watching a children's cartoon, but i saw it.
i liked it for the most part. REALLY graphic. and bloody.
that part especially Wolfn
i couldn't listen to him chewing the dude's head off.
