Re: Movies Watched Recently
i watched There Will Be Blood and i thought it was a little bit overrated. I cant say it was bad, because i was interested throughout the movie and I did enjoy it. Daniel Day Lewis is an amazing actor, but he's always in movies that are just not my cup of tea

Re: Movies Watched Recently
I watched most of Juno and I gotta say...wtf? Why did everyone love that movie again? I must have missed something or maybe you have to be high to appreciate it...
It was one of the most pointless movies ever. The main character was a vomitous mass, the characters were unrealistic, and the "witty dialogue" made me want to suicide myself. Biggest waste of film ever

For me he was the only redeeming quality of Gangs of New York.

Re: Movies Watched Recently
Gone Baby Gone. i liked it! most of the recent films i've seen with the unexpected twists at the end in my opinion haven't been the best (the perfect stranger? god i hated that movie) but this one tight. kudos to Ben Afleck.

Um, what do you mean by that? I thought An Inconvenient Truth was excellent and well-argued. I think only a complete moron who would slaughter babies for money would attempt to argue with it.

Re: Movies Watched Recently
hahaha I don't slaughter babies (often ) I'm really aware of wasting as little as possible and releasing as little carbon output (which i doubt sometimes when i'm biking it up a hill). Al-Gores evidence was very helpful, not something i didn't know already but the presentations were very interesting. The way he said it was patronising and I really didn't want to know about (really random) his son who was injured when he was younger and all the pictures of how he lost the elections and the not so subtle innuendos that USA would have had such an amazing president if they voted for him but lost out. It was WAY too cheesy and it could easily have been an awesome 30 min documentary. Less crap to sift through, you know?
and he was on a plane when he was talking about global warming?!?

Re: Movies Watched Recently
He did more than just board a plane. The conservatives, when they had nothing better to talk about, attacked - with perfect validation - the amount of power he used at home. He can talk the talk but he doesn't quite walk the walk, sadly. However, he was patronizing because George W. Bush has actually managed to create an issue about global warming where it was once an inarguable fact. Gore became an attack dog, and I liked him for that. Also, conservatives won't listen to anything you say if you don't have Christian family values, and many don't think Gore does, that there was the purpose for his personal things in the movie.
I saw Dragon Tiger Gate last night. Two nights only in Chicago at the Gene Siskel.

Re: Movies Watched Recently
I watched Namesake last night. It was good, just LONG and drawn out. and when I tried to get the subtitles for the foreign language, it didn't work. so I feel like I missed a lot. It was a good movie tho.
