asslamu alaykum

Moolaade- the opposition of female mutilation begins with one womam - celle, amazing, strong woman , subhan Allah...her husband flogs her publicaly due to pressure from the edlers for protecting 4 girls from the brutality. Women and men witness this, but the women alone encourage her not to fall...se doesnt give in and then she finds much more support from the women after one of the daughters is kidnapped and mutilaed and dies fom it. Then, the chief elder's son marries the balakaro (uncirumscised woman) and it's a victory for the women, who realise such mutilation is AGAINSTA islaam dispite what the men are saying...celle's husband is very remorseful and tels the chief that his wife is not a baby and can do what she wants.

May Allah enpower all the women in the world and make them as examples to us all. Ameen. SUbhan Allah, such atrocities...men are seriously going to be held accountable for their poor judgement and lack of justice. Degree over women in RESPONSIBILITY, the sooner everyone learns that the better the Muslim world will be insha Allah.

Inside Man, with Denzel Washington. i liked it! one of those which keeps you on your toes
although the ending was kind of a splat in the face. but still, Denzel is
Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix. books are always better.

saw the mist. it's not so much about the mist but rather a look at how people will act under duress. it's a good movie, but fairly dark in it's view of human nature. the ending is pretty depressing

"Pan's Labryinth"

Very good movie with a tragic ending. Alot like Edward Scissorhands.

assalamu alaykum

You know there should have been more fight scenes in Bourne ultimatum. Nothign beats a good punch. Juicy.

I was thinking about the stangest film I've ever seen (besides the arty bollywood film Raincoat, in which ashwariya purposefully looked ugly throughout )

Big Fish- what the heck?!

Also, watched POTC again. Ahh

Sweeney Todd- I didn't think I would like it bc it sounded really gory and I'm not a fan of musicals, but it was pretty good, repeated throat slashing aside. I like the scenes where Mrs. Lovett is dreaming and they're at the beach and boardwalk, funny costumes and it added a bit of sunlight to the otherwise gray toned movie.

YES. Literally one of the best movies I've seen in years. It's got both Micheal Cera AND Jason Bateman.

That and Old Country for Old Men.

Philadelphia- good movie about AIDS that was made when the crisis was still a big issue in America

National Treasure 1 + 2 - both were not really that great but they were very good for kids because they had alot of adventure without any real violence
