i dont know what your talking about, but is 'fobby background' your punjabi village culture?

you know a person from bombay, lives, dresses, acts, speaks, very vasty different than a person from bhopal, or lucknow. bombay is far more modernized, more westernized, it was the commercial center of british india. everyone speaks english in the city. you places like mount pleasant road, where muhammad ali jinnahs mansion sits, victoria terminus station, etc. even the buildings are a copy of 19th century london. so depending on whose perspective your talking about, it depends on what this 'fobby background' your speaking of.

then were talking about two different movies. but you always keep saying 'fob = desi', im a desi im not a fob. the golf player vijay singh is a desi, he is not a fob. in fact i was telling a fob about him once and do you know what the fob said to me? "he is not real indian", why because he grew up in fiji? i said to him, is that what you think of me then too? but what is this fob culture you keep talking about? cities like bombay or new delhi are vastly different than say the old city of hyderabad. even the old city of delhi, which is also full of muslims, is no where near as traditional as old city hyderabad.

in fact back in the 50's and 60's, my dad and my uncles all used to take off to bombay, just to get away from hyderabad and travel to someplace modern and westernised, something that resembled all those hollywood movies that they were watching in the movie theaters. i still have old b&w photos of them standing in front of the gateway of India. and the prime minister of India at that time, Mr. Nehru, often joked how he is the 'last englishman to rule to India', because he, much like his counterpart Muhammad Ali Jinnah, both spoke english with british accents. and whenever i hear them speak, like watching videos on youtube, i start to think, i like these desis, these are my kind of desis. in fact, nehru's favorite movie was lawrence of arabia, a man who didnt belong in his world, or the arab world. the movie reminded him of himself. it does depend on what perspective your speaking from when you talk about fob culture. and most of the culture in india and pak, isnt even desi at all. its nothing more than the culture of 19th century victorian england. its still alive and kicking over there. they still speak the way they spoke in victorian england. using words like "by the grace of god, in the year of our lord' LOL.

Occasionally, sometimes this thing takes over me! It's as if a Chipkilli climbed up my back and tickled me so my hands go crazy and type random stuff. Unfortunately no cure yet -_-

P.S. I wanna see BEE movie!
