Re: Movies Watched Recently
i agree with Arabesque
and it's not just bollywood,
all fobs' attempt at science fiction (but also horror, mind you) turn out to be a bit sad.
(an EGYPTIAN version of E.T.?! i mean c'mon now).
and the movie Krrish is a good example
although the songs were very nice

Re: Movies Watched Recently
Actually I'm not a big fan of Arabic movies in general but the Egyptian ET was a huge exception. It was great. But it wasnt just about ET, it also had people living in freezers, talking chickens, zombies, etc

Re: Movies Watched Recently
some are pretty good looking but alot of bollywood actresses are also very beautiful. Actually i think Bollywood puts a higher premium on looks for female actresses than the middle eastern movie industry. Half of the bollywood actresses seem to have been miss universe, miss world, or miss india

Breakfast at Tiffanys- I liked it. I loved the part where they go into Tiffany's and try to find something for $10.

Glad you liked the film too, Moonstar. It was wonderful to see how the story of these mothers and daughters evolved. I'm sure a lot of immigrants could relate to their experiences no matter where they come from. I also really appreciated how it exposed stereotypes and racism towards Chinese. Often we tend to marginalize people based upon their race or culture, but underneath we are all the same and are subject to the same family issues.

Re: Movies Watched Recently
It wasn't technically a movie, but I saw the "bug scene" from King Kong. That was by far the most disturbing scene ever put in a movie. Seriously, those spiders, scorpions, leeches, etc were the size of trucks!
Oh, I saw "Rendition" today. That was.....interesting.
