ya i grew up watching those movies too, old 50's and 60's movies, 'around the world', 'mughal-e-azam', 'chalti ka nam gaadi'. i dont watch them today, because they are brainwashing young girls like you. if you claim that bollywood is representative of the culture in south asia, that just shows how you little you know about it. bollywood is a facade and a fantasy. its media aimed at the villagers and the ignorant city slum dwellers who speak no english. the educated elite of bombay and the rest of india, actually perfer hollywood over bollywood.

hmm...the educated elite of bombay and the rest of india actually prefer bollywood movies to hollywood. The only difference is, the educated elite go to the expensive theaters to watch the movie.

So the muslims in Pakistan are better off? Why because there is no religious persecution there? I suppose the Sunni Shia conflicts don't really come into the equation? Taking into account the condscending treatment of the christians, the qadianies there... yeah it seems like a safe haven for everyone to pratice their religion. A place where any pretentious spiritual leader can mold religious doctrines to justify any of his actions!!
do the muslims or any other religious minority in pak subjected to mass murders? did a gujarat style riot, with the blessing of the state govt ever occur in pakistan? are churches bombed all over pak the way they are in india? if a christian ran for elected office, would their religion be used as an execuse to bash them towards the electorate? these are the things that the hindu bjp have done in india. so after seeing all of this, yes jinnah and the muslim league were right to partition india. mughal culture is alive and well in pakistan, while my own cousins in india cannot even read and write in the urdu langauge. i read urdu better than they do! and im self-taught and read only on a 6th grade level. in fact im very impressed by the pakistani media, its vastly different from the hindu media that is bombarded in india. pakistani sattelite channels are extremely popular among the muslims in india. i mean do you have the muslim league in pakistan, chanting 'death to hindus'? or 'death to christians'? are any minority place of worship subject to demolition the way that occured with babri masjid and so many other mosques across india? the answer is simple, N.O.

I didn't claim anything. I only said I enjoy bollywood movies. And I hardly care if anyone else does or not. I watch it for my enjoyment; not yours.

And to think that the 'educated elite' prefer hollywood over bollywood in india, is pure stupidity......oh wait, I forgot I was talking to you

You hate anyone and everyone except men.....is that why you're still single?

Also, you think of men from india as fobs and you hate them, but here you're all praises for them because they're being compared to indian women? You always contradict yourself

And whats this nonsense about women who 'refuse to pleasure'?! Astagfirullah on you!

you know next time your hyderabad, why dont you stop by this place in the new city, its called 'maheshwari video'. i used to rent hollywood movies from there all time whenever i visited HYD, since 1990. tell me do you think those old city illiterates are renting those videos from there? NO, its the educated elite who are. because half the time they speak in english.

You hate anyone and everyone except men.....is that why you're still single?
if your claiming that i dont rag on guys, i do, all the time, especially these loser, desperate, desi guys who run after silly desi girls feeding thier stupid egos. thats who i blame the most. your problem is, you dont care about that, because you probably enjoy it when i write that.

Quote:

i never contradict myself, its your perception thats the problem. let's go back and take a look at what you wrote.

you claimed that i was stating that desi husbands are all saints. You didnt specify fob husbands, you stated DESI husbands. Im a desi, but im not a fob. big difference right there. So ya i do stand by what i wrote, that the desi husband works his butt off for some greedy ass wifey, while she doesnt pleasure him, and half the time those same hubby's end up sleeping on the couches, while thier greedy lil wifey, ends up getting fatter, and fatter and fatter as the months and years goes on.

Quote:
And whats this nonsense about women who 'refuse to pleasure'?! Astagfirullah on you!
that's right the greedy desi wife, almost always refuses to pleasure her husband. why else does mehndi exist in HYD? why is Bombay's Grand Road infamous for its red light district? Why does Heera Mandi exist in Lahore? Guess who goes there? wanna know who? Its all old married desi uncles. because thier greedy lil wives refuse to pleasure them at home.

Quote:
Maybe you don't read well enough.....I watch hollywood movies, but I prefer bollywood movies because I enjoy them more

~j
you only prefer bollywood, because like all silly desi girls who watch this crap, you live your life through a bollywood movie.

Stepford Wives- weak plot but entertaining if you're bored. Kidman played the part well.

Shall We Dance- Fred and Ginger Rogers, the story kinda dragged on. And I didn't get the whole Russian ballet dancer thing if it was an American dance troupe.
