When Sulayman ibn AbdulMalik visited Makkah, he asked if there was anyone present who has met the companions of RasulAllah (saw). “Abu Hazim,” they replied. “Why is it that we dislike death? Why is it we don't want to die?” Sulayman asked. Abu Hazim replied, “Because you have built and established this world and you have destroyed your Aakhirah, so you hate to go from what you have established to what you have destroyed.” يا نفس ويحك ما الذي يرضيك في دنيا العفن؟

OK i know Hitch came about 10 years ago but I've only just seen it and got a weird sense of deja vu whilst watching it, like i knew everything that was going to happen, an eerie sense of predictability and then the thought popped into my mind 'Hey this film is just like that bollywood movie Partner...dum dum dum.' When i worked out Partner was the one who had ripped Hitch off I was outraged. There's something sickening about Indian movies copying crap American movies.
It was copied right down to the intricate details such as Govinda/'Doug King of Queens' forgetting to put their trousers on after they dried them in the bogs. Outrageous. I just couldnt enjoy Will Smith's annoyingly cheeky face after that. Also I saw 'The Descent' and that is one scary film. Can't understand why anyone would be willing to squeeze into dark tiny caves. The claustrophobia was terrifying never mind the crawlers. |

I loved the other two you mention. Especially the Dracula part in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I'll probably watch it again tonight just for that part, now that I think of it. |
