I saw "Allah Made Me Funny". Interestingly enough, there was an American couple there (don't think they were Muslim).

Asalamu Alaikum,

I had to stay the night at my cousins, and we ended up watching Jeepers Creepers while comepletely alone in the house. Most scariest movie ever. I couldn't sleep for hours, the song kept playing in my head.

I eventually had to make a run to my cousins room and sleep with her. SuhbhanAllah.

I agree. Jeepers Creepers still scares the crap out of me.

As for me, I saw "Lost Boys: The Tribe" and "The Love Guru"

Both were crap, but "The Love Guru" was so terrible my family and I couldn't even finish it.

I refuse to watch scary movies anymore, especially now since I live by myself. The Ring really did me in.. I hate scary movies with a passion. I watched Sleepy Hollow a few weeks back and even that creeped me out a bit.

I'm really in the mood to see a movie right now, I haven't seen one in a while. I really wish midterms were over so my friend and I could organize another "bollywood movie night" . Has anyone seen Jodhaa Akbar yet?

Asalamu Alaikum,

Try watching it while your alone in a huge empty house for the night. That movie actually is very scary.

Still, its not that bad. However I can understand how its a bit scary especially if you imagine a Jinn takes the form of the Jeepers guy and you hear a knock on your window.

I just watched 'Grudge'. At the end of it i said im never watching another horror movie again, it just doesn't give the scare factor it used to. BUT half an hour later I changed my mind.

The grudge isnt great, but if you use your imagination you can scare yourself a little bit with what they've given you.

But, nothing beats a read of Ibn Taymiyah's (ra) essay on the Jinn.

Um- so I LOVE scary movies, love em. I have to watch every one that comes up- which usually sucks b//v 80% of them are absolute crap- but i still have to watch them, cuz im always waiting for a good one- so THEN

My FRIEND recommended I see The Descent The Descent (2005).

Has anyone ever seen this movie? Honest to goodness, the scariest movie i've ever seen. I actually cried at one point. I actually screamed out loud a couple of times during the movies, and had to stop to movie for half an hour before I could turn it on again.

And then, it was stuck in my head for like a month. I was so happy when Ramadan came cuz i would comfort myself by telling me (its ok, they're not here, Allah miya locks up the jinns during Ramadan...)

And I thought jeepers creepers was pretty scary (the first one)- cheesy, but scary (atleast the end of it was)

I must say the Descent was good!

My bro shouted out and jumped up in that because he got shocked in a part that wasn't too bad(don't what he was thinking), but he scared the hell out the the rest of us. lol.

Horror films are very addictive especially if you've grown up on stories about the Jinn. I have yet to watch "The Mist", i've heard good things about it.

ooooh, yeah, thats another good one. its scary like, in the creepy way- like, oh man, that would suck. But it didn't scare me like The Descent did. I was kinda hesitant to watch it, b/c so many stephen king movies are just awful, but it was awesome.
