Re: Hijabis Gone Wild Stories
Easy on the comments people. It is Ramadan. And we should refrain from backbiting.
What a particular Hijabi does, is her problem. Maybe they have a reason behind it that we might not know off, or they may have changed for the better good since the last time we saw them. Or they could have been forced to wear the Hijaab by their Parents or because of cultural reasons.

This is the best quote in this thread so far. It is Ramadan and such a stupid thread should not even have been created. But now that I see who initiated it, I'm not at all surprised. People's sins are their own and should not be discussed amongst us. Those who take what these sisters do so lightly by joking about it need to take a long hard look at themselves and realize that maybe some tomfoolery they've done is being discussed by others and you're being made a mockery of.
Asking for examples of other people's sinfulness is the work of the shaytan. People's sins are between them and Allah and if He concealed those sins then who are we to bring them out to the open?! Again, it's Ramadan and it's about more than refraining from eating. It's about refraining from lying, backbiting and all those other things that keep us from Allah. Just because one decides he cannot abide by this does and starts this kind of thread does not mean that the rest of you should follow suit and allow yourselves to be sucked into foolishness.
Oh, and a belated Ramadan Mubarak to all.

I disagree... I dont know what the intention behind the thread was, but it can serve to teach us something or atleast remind us.
This is sociological phenomenon.
No matter what symbols of piety a person has, they are still human and can make mistakes and sins.
I think that there are things that go on in the muslim community that many people would like to deny the existence of.

Re: Hijabis Gone Wild Stories
For a lot of Muslims, there is this idea of a sort of pay-as-you-go sin system. The idea is that if you do some Islamic things, then you have a free pass to do some haram things, since the two will equal out. This is of course totally incorrect, but it happens all the time. People who do zina and marry the girl thinking that if the girl eventually turned to Islam they would somehow be forgiven is the most common example of this type of thinking that I've come across.
Islam isn't Catholocism, you can't buy your way into heaven.

There's a distinct difference between talking about social ills with the intent to find solutions ... versus sensationalizing the mistakes and misdeeds of people you've known in the past, simply for the sake of creating controversy.
The title of this thread alone implies that it wasn't made with the former intent - being a rip-off of the Girls Gone Wild college / frat party videos.

Here's a couple of stories:
-A friend told me that her acquaintance back in Indonesia wore the hijab and prayed five times a day and read the Quran. But during the night she would go work in a hotel bar and take off the hijab and eveything Islam and go drinking and dancing. Supposedly she did some stripping and prostituting.
-My little sister's friend was hijabi wearing Pakistanni but... she had a KAAFIR boyfriend. She was also engaged to get married to someone in Pakistan, some arrange marriage thingy. So when she arrived to school, she would take off the hijab and wear short skirts and the whole bunch. After school she would go the guy's house and make out. They eventually went to prom but later broke up. Her arranged marriage to a Pakistanni guy also broke. Don't know where she is now. i have to ask my sister.
post more if you got any.

LOL, hijabis are crazy!!
This hijabi wears niqab and everything, by day, but by night, she's a stripper.
Another niqabi sister was having a lesbian affair with another sisterwhile her husband was at work....such freaks!
Both of these ladies lived in Philly, they got all kinds of Muslims there.
I can really relate to these 'wild' hijabis. I know the hijab is just a cover up. It says nothing about what person really is.
I understand these 'wild' hijabis, even the stripper ones. I mean the idea of making $500 a night was a little tempting, well for me anyway.
And as for these sisters, at least they are doing something right. Especially when it comes to salaht. Thats the most important thing. Salats might not be accepted if your not covered properly.

Even strippers/hijabis. Imagine if u had the opportunity to make $500 a night. It wouldn't be tempting at all?

$500? Must have been one hell of a show, or someone is paying over the odds.
