So, did you learn anything interesting about Islam today?

For example, today I learned that the Garden of Eden was not located on Earth (from my Abdullah Yusuf Ali translation of the Qu'ran). I always thought it was on Earth due to former Christian knowledge and news reports of Saddam Hussein draining the Garden of Eden many years ago.

So, basically humans existed in a different place before Earth.

Recently, I received two hadithain from the daily hadith twitter account that I never heard before:

Prophet PBUH used to say while prostrating, "O Lord, forgive me all my sins, small and great, first and last, open and secret." (Muslim)
اللَّهُمَّ اعْفِرْلِى ذَنْبِئ كُلَّهُ، و جِلَّهُ، وَ أوَّلَهُ وَ آخِرَهُ عَلا نِيَتَهُ وَ سِرَّهُ
(Allahumma-ghfir li dhanbi kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa awwalahu wa akhirahu, wa 'ala niyatahu wa sirrahu)

and "Prophet PBUH forbade two kinds of food; to sit at cloth on which wine is drunk & to eat by a man while lying on his stomach." (Abu Dawud)

Yay to @dailyhadith for using social media for positive stuff and benefiting people! YAYYY! (no, I dont own that account and am not marketing it, but I'll make dua for them)

The Bible doesn't explicitly tell us it was located on Earth, either. A sinless place, Adam and Eve being cast out onto a place where there IS sin. Makes a good amount of sense when you think about it.

I've read theories that the Garden of Eden was located in what is now Wisconsin, and that it was actually a large celestial spaceship that crash landed.
I'm sorry if my insensitivity toward your beliefs offends you. But guess what - your religious wars, jihads, crusades, inquisitions, censoring of free speech, brainwashing of children, murdering of albinos, forcing girls into underage marriages, female genital mutilation, stoning, pederasty, homophobia, and rejection of science and reason offend ME. So I guess we're even.

So, did anyone back then really believe the sun set in a muddy lake?

Can't say I learned anything about Islam itself, though I did learn another terrible thing some people apparently use it to try to justify.

Did the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) ever have children?
