Yes. With a ransom note too

As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم)

I do think that a Muslim sister giving such advice is much more suitable in today's era as Muslim men commit sin much more frequently than the females. And obviously, more attention/advice should be given to men as a result.

Usually, I leave this type of issue to Muslim sisters as they will feel and understand it better.

I agree. I'm over the holier-than-thou attitude that come from many brothers over the behavior of a few sisters. The ratio of naughtiness is MUCH higher in the favor of the brothers that I know instead of the sisters.

I think that girls have more to lose when it comes to bad behavior. A girl with a bad reputation is MUCH harder to live with than a guy with a bad reputation. It's hypocritical and ridiculous, but it's true. So, as a result, I feel like brothers are more lenient with their behavior but impose very strict standards on women.

^ Exactly,

In Qur'an men were asked to guard modesty before asking females to be modest. Here is the verse:

024.030 قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ

024.030 Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.

Al-Qur'an, 024.030 (An-Noor [The Light])

Later on came the verses of hijab for females (in 24:31, and 33.059 of Qur'an). Actually, if guarding modesty is called 'hijab' then 'hijab' of men comes first, then the hijab of females.

so true..why don't men talk more about lowering their gazes instead of talking about what we should be wearing.

Well...you gotta admit, talking about womens clothing is so much more fun than talking about NOT looking at someone ;)

Men constantly talking about women's clothing seems kinda gay

i'm just tired of men dictating what we should do with our bodies..what we should wear, what kind of birthcontrol should be accessible, if a woman shoulf have to have a baby she doesn't want. wish they would focus on matters of their own gender.

^This.

Also, how they like to phrase it, just like the man in the video did: Back-handed compliments. Ohhhh sisters, you're SOOOOO beautiful and soooooo important and soooo respectable, but PLEASE COVER YOURSELVES because Muslim men can't control their haraam thoughts around a head of uncovered hair, and all of our dirty thoughts and any potential actions are BECAUSE OF YOU!!! Cover yourselves!!!

That's all I heard. So my response to him and all the men who've been telling us women to cover or not cover, to use this birth control or that, or what to do with the fetus in OUR bellies would be..

Well, profile of both users 'displaced' and 'thejellymill' says that they are 'brothers', and they are here pretending like 'sisters'. Strange!

lol. A number of us sisters have that in our profile since I think that was the default setting when we got the new boards. I can assure you that they are women. I've known Jellymill for years and have her on facebook.
