AsSalamu' Alaykum,

So I'm just wondering how much y'all are paying for gas in your area [no need to get specific, just give a general idea of the location].

In the NorthEast US- my car has to have 93, so I'm dropping 3.25 per gallon at BJ's but if I were forced to get my gas elsewhere, I'm look at 3.45-3.50 per gallon. :blobblue:

Up here in the Toronto area we're paying about $1.03 CDN per liter ... which comes out to just over $4 USD per gallon.

Its all relative. Its not like we have the same cost of living. In other areas of regular financial obligations, I probably pay less than you do.

Why are you trying to ruin a good thing? So mean-spirited gosh.

:D

Seriously though, I would not be surprised if gas takes about 1-2 dollar price hike.

That's standard. The price of all energy related commodities and derivatives continues to rise, year over year.

Gas, oil, electricity - its always an upwards trend, as is inflation, and as is the cost-of-living. Unfortunately, salary increases are not commensurate for the vast majority of people.

its $3.16 at the thornton's gas station by my house, the last time i checked. the price changes every single day. but in the city i have seen it as high as $3.30 a gallon.

try this site to find out cheap gas by you GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada

but i dont understand why you need to use a 93 for your car. any gas will do, as long as you use the the same kind of gas.

Because there are some cars that specifically need a certain grade?

A bowl of cereal gives me enough energy to bike to work and back. I add a 10 mile detour coming back cause It's relaxing. Aaaaahhhh ;) :p

Gasoline doesn't affect me that much commuting wise.

P.S Gas is about $3.60 medium grade (which is what I fill my car with once a month) in my area.

P.P.S Gas prices give me a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that my money is safe in my account and doesn't have to be wasted...

I paid $2.85 yesterday and was pissed. The day before I paid like $2.77. I don't think I will be driving when it goes over $3. I'll just take the bus.

that's not actually true. gas is gas, it doesnt matter what brand it is, or what 'grade' it is. its all the same.

lol you can be a fool and pay higher for premium, its all the same, gas is gas. as long as you use regular all the time, nothing happens to your car. unleaded gas doesnt affect the engine in your car, its how you maintain the car is what matters, such as changing the oil every 10k miles.

actually no, my car and many others need premium, specifically for me, when i use lower grade gas my car detonates. So I need 91 octane and when I use a octane raiser like denatured alcohol it helps it to run even smoother with absolutely no detonating.
