Honestly, I think its really unnecessary to have a "Musim name" if you are a revert unless your given name necessitates change. For example, a friend of mine changed her name to a Muslim name becuase her given name was that of one of the deities from her heritage. Obviously if your name is Zeus or something, you should probably change it

But other than that, I think its a little bit of a problem, even. It gives the impression that non-Arab identities dont fit in with Islam. I actually just wrote a blog about that tonight.

At the end of the day, its your own choice. Thats just my two cents.

Yeah I've seen the movie about 25 times. my point is why he would have a human name when hes obviously not a human and the Romulan Race are notoriously reclusive.

Thats was Neros crew tho, Romulans don't wear them ordinarily. I think Nero had a thing for earth history.

I know the real reason why he was called Nero its because the writers thought it would be a nice tribute to the roman origins of the Romulans.

I never understood the name change thing. Changing your name to an Arabic name just furthers the incorrect assumption that all Muslims are Arab. Be proud of your own roots. Allah created Europe and all of the countries in Europe too and all of the languages and tribes and people, etc. etc. so, TECHNICALLY, your European name is just as "Muslim" as the name Ahmad.

Unless you were named Isis, Aphrodite or Zeus, there's no reason to change your name. Your name is already Muslim since God made the land that it came from.

Do share your kids' names! My daughter will be Cara (or Colm if it's a boy) and then my second child will have a Pakistani name. That way both me and my husbands' cultures can be represented in our kids' names.
