i don't think we have a thread to post cute things kids say so i thought i'd start one. mods, please merge if i'm wrong.
my sister decided she'd teach her 2 1/2 year old son about privacy and body parts and here's how that went (they were in the bathroom).
mom: now zizo this is private.
zizo: it's private?
mom: yes, it's yours. no one should touch it but you.
zizo: it's MINE? okay, mama.
5 minutes later, he runs into the kitchen, pulls his undies down and yells to his sisters "hey, everyone! this is MINE!! you can't touch it!" (fortunately the sisters were o longer there)
clearly the lesson in privacy failed.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.
BREAST CANCER

My ds9 asked me my favorite color- I said purple. He asked why- I answered because it is pretty( I was not into 20 questions this evening). I asked him his favorite color- his answer black or red. I asked why? His response- Black because it is the color of fertile soil, symbolizing new life, especially volcanic soil because it has so many minerals. Red because it is the color of blood which represents life or then there is green which also represents life because of plants and vegetation so I am not sure..... Feeling a little inadequate at this point.
