Sorry to steal your topic title Tanasi, but I think it's very apt, I have finally come of the fence as well (after around four/five years of umming and ahhing) I have finally converted!

I know I have visited the site on and off over the last few years, but for those who have tried to help me in the past thank you, you've all contributed to my conversion in your own way.

So Salaams to you all. B)

Congratulations to both of you. I am hoping my partner can come back to fold of Islam too. What is it about Islam that "finalized" your decision?

Alhamdolillah. May God always guide you. :)
I saw a beggar leaning on his wooden crutch,
He said to me, "You must not ask for so much."
And a pretty woman leaning in her darkened door,
She cried to me, "Hey, why not ask for more?"
Oh, like a bird on the wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir,
I have tried in my way to be free.

Salaams, for me it was a few things, towards the end of Ramadan I realised I wanted to know more about the prophet Mohammed (pbuh) and his life, I had decided I already believed the Qu'ran was the word of God/Allah (sorry I find myself still saying God first and prefer to type as I think). When I decided I wanted to learn more about the prophet (pbuh) I had given myself a deadline of the next Eid. But unfortunately my reading slowed down as life got busy and I had started a book that was too dense.

So the Saturday before Eid when I woke up I thought to myself,'no I'm not wasting anymore time' - I've put this off for years because I was scared of repercussions - so I went to a New Muslim Circle I've been going to on and off over the last few months.

I just hope and pray I can please Allah and be a good muslim.

Peaceful: Salaam sister! I converted in May and it's the best decision I've ever made. I've met some great people. Where do you live? Perhaps we could go to Friday prayers together!

Again, congrats. You won't regret it.

Wait, what's a New Muslim Circle? I might be interested in that.
