Okay, so I've never bought or used one but I think I want to, especially if it takes less time to cook. But I have a few questions.

-Electric or stovetop?

-When you make salan, do you brown the onions separately first, and then put all the ingredients in the cooker and cook away?

-Is it scary?

-Is it a pain to clean and maintain?

-what's a good price? I don't want to buy them at a desi store because I'm scared. Right now I'm looking here http://www.overstock...archType=Header

Any experience you have would be appreciated.

I have a 6 qt presto from amazon. Around $50. Stovetop. I used it twice recently- each time to easily make 4 pounds of karahi goat, I saw the recipe on YouTube from a restaurant in paki. Onions, tomatoes, and spices we added in as is and no additional water. The result was that most tender goat I have ever had and amazingly flavorful. (I think fried it up in a karahi to finish the recipe). It was soooo good.

I had watched and read a few pressure cooker demos online which appeased my fears. Modern day pressure cookers aren't easy to blow up and once pressure is built, you can't open it.
Never do I argue with a man with a desire to hear him say what is wrong, or to expose him and win victory over him. Whenever I face an opponent in debate I silently pray - O Lord, help him so that truth may flow from his heart and on his tongue, and so that if truth is on my side, he may follow me; and if truth be on his side, I may follow him.
