I have to say... although I agree with bruin and disagree with trent (and the means in which he expresses himself), I didn't garner from his initial post that he was implying what ppl assume. I thought he was saying he was just saying you can go to prom without having to dance.

You have a legitimate point about me putting myself at risk for disobeying god is something I should avoid. Prom at my school requires minimal dancing, and mainly us hanging around, listening to music, eating. So our prom, in comparison to other schools, is quite lame. Nothing that would make me deviate from the path.
The only person I've really debated was you. I considered your points, saw some parts of it I felt did not hold water, and addressed them. This thread isn't pointless because I have an opinion. The whole reason I made it was so that I could understand other views better and so I could get some advice.

I do appreciate the apology and I was not offended I was just trying to say that I've been where you've been-- feeling like your friends need that last hurrah and all that.

I still disagree with you just at least take my advice about friends-- don't ever do something out peer pressure. You won't see it then, but you'll see it later on-- believe me.

do you mean generally disagree with me? or disagree with my stance here? I find it extremely insulting and rude when people assume and put words in my mouth and then others prop them up because they have some kind of previous problem with my posts.
