It is. Listen closely...there are a lot of OT/Hebrew Bible references, including one to the affair between King David and Bathsheba.. there are also a lot of double meanings to the lyrics.

it just so happens i took a hebrew bible class around the time i decided to listen more closely to the lyrics of this song. i think it's pretty classy, even clever.
