hahah

Not to go off topic but...

Yeah I speak french, but my english is obviously superior to my french.... raised in Montreal, but I speak english without an accent (thank god). You can't really work here if you don't speak french, but there are some jobs that won't require you to speak french. Most jobs will only hire you if you speak french and english (jobs that require a bachelors degree and jobs that don't require any education after HS). Not everyone here speaks french... My parents have been living here 20 years and they don't speak a lick of french.

Montreal's a bilingual city, but depending where in Montreal you end up, that part would either be extremely french, extremely english, or both. I'd say most of MTL consists of both english and french speaking people. Even french people in Montreal speak somewhat proper english.

Where are you from?

Engineering is so nerdy and boring but I kinda wish I had majored in biomedical engineering instead of biochemistry. Chemistry fields are cool but they have no practical application without a graduate degree unless you major in pharm or chem and use it to make meth.

Yeah I was accepted into biochem 2 years and a half ago... I directly changed my mind and switched into engineering. best decision I've ever made. Everyone I know whose ever graduated from biochem all ended up regretting it. My friend just completed his biochem bachelors and switched into software engineering this semester...4 more years for this guy. Others have done masters degree in business and some just ended up living with it...

1) you can't do much with just a bachelors
2) they end up realizing they'll be working in labs forever and that's not what they'd like to be doing...

It's only good if you plan on moving onto med right after (that is if your gpa is above 3.5).

i like engineers better than doctors. a lot better. they seem more human. and they're mostly reasonable people too... unless it's computer engineering.
