I watched 5 seconds before reaching the conclusion that sister Dalia won by default on account of brother Irshad being shamelessly cleanshaven.

Is it still called a boy cut when it's on a boy? rather redundant if you ask me.

let's not be so mean now, we cannot judge anyone.
"God will never change the condition of a people until they change that which is within themselves."
The Holy Quran, 13:11

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Religion is very easy, and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded."

Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 1, Hadith 38

Asalamu Alaikum,

Please keep personal attacks to yourself, unless you enjoy handing out your hard-earned deeds on a silver platter to the person in question.

Fi AmanAllah
My God and my Lord; Eyes are at rest, the stars are setting. Hushed are the movements of the birds in their nests, of monsters in the sea; and You are the Just Who knows no change; the Equity that does not swerve, the Everlasting that never passes away. The doors of kings are locked now and guarded by their henchmen, but Your door is open to all who call upon You. My Lord, each loved is now alone with his beloved. And I am alone with Thee.

Asalamu Alaikum,

Yes, to everyone.

OK I'm a huge fan of Ustadha Dalia now. Anyone know if she has any other speeches, talks, or debates available? Or writings? The way she carried herself is truly an inspiration. The way she avoided brother Irshad's traps, and refused to lose her cool, wow.

I don't have much to say that others haven't said. Sister Dalia triumphed over Irshad and that is end of story.

About the backbiting issue...remember this
"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should say [something] good, or he should keep silent." [Bukhari, Muslim, Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]

And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!";

She seemed a bit apologetic IMO.

Okay, I totally noticed the legs. How could you not? They were like... right there! :bonk:
Alright, so I only noticed after skimming this thread, but I know I would have anyway.

I don't have a problem with short skirts if that's what you want to wear and I wouldn't call hers short anyway-- just too short to wear with a hijab on. *shrug*
Though it looks like an abaya from here. Or a dress.

You would've noticed if you were lowering your gaze (which I totally was... :p Jeffrey Goldberg :shy: ) 'cause her legs are at the bottom. :p And also 'cause she fiddles with the hemline a little bit at the beginning. That's a lot of leg for a hijabi. Poor girl. :( Wardrobe malfunctions suck.
