"The Lord of Truth makes things difficult for His serveant,
to bring him back to Himself and to prevent him from attaching
his heart to his fellow creatures."

"God is at home,
it's we who have gone out."

Than both you and I are spared,
But if it be Objective,
Then per Heaven and Hell,

Each of your breaths is a priceless jewel, since each of them is irreplaceable and, once gone, can never be retrieved. Do not be like the deceived fools who are joyous because each day their wealth increases while their life shortens. What good is an increase in wealth when life grows ever shorter? Therefore be joyous only for an increase in knowledge or in good works, for they are your two companions who will accompany you in your grave when your family, wealth, children and friends stay behind. -Imam Ghazali
Put aside your pride, Set down your arrogance, and remember your grave. - Ali ibn Abu Talib (radiAllah anhu)

Patience comes in three stages: first, one learns not to follow the baser self; second, one learns to content oneself with one's fate; finally, one surrenders oneself to the Master's will and discovers within love and compassion, the greatest of all achievements.

The greatest of action is love.
For it is love that manifested the Hidden.
“Love me because Allah loves me” the beloved Prophet (sallAllahu `alayhi wasallam) said.
Love can complete the deficiency of our actions but our actions cannot complete the deficiency in our love.

إحياء علوم الدين
وقال الجنيد: أربع ترفع العبد إلى أعلى الدرجات وإن قل عمله وعلمه، الحلم والتواضع والسخاء وحسن الخلق وهو كمال الإيمان

Imam Ghazali (ra) mentions in his Ihyaa that Imam Junaid (ra) said,
Four traits lift a person to the highest ranks, even if their works and knowledge are little:
(1) Forbearance (hilm)
(2) Humility (tawadu`)
(3) Generosity (sakha)
(4) Good character (husn al-khuluq) and this is the perfection of faith. [Ghazali, Ihya' `Ulum al-Din]

In Generosity and Helping Others,
be like the River
In Compassion and Grace,
be like the Sun
In Concealing Others' Faults,
be like the Night
In Anger and Fury,
be like the Dead
In Modesty and Humility,
be like the Soil
In Tolerance,
be like the Ocean
Either appear as you are or
be as you appear

Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi (ra)

1 - Happiness that lasts forever is more important and more significant than happiness that passes away.

aids came to mind. They usually hide it..and dont go for the free treatmenst that are brough to afraica for the fear of being shamed by the community....so i thought, aids.

Do not despair when in spite of intense supplication,
there is a delay in receiving the expected gift.
He has guaranteed that he will respond
in what He chooses for yourself,
and not what you choose for yourself,
and at the time He chooses
- not the time you desire
.
- Ibn Ata'illah
