( I need a lil help from the Hijabified sisters)

What Kind of Clothes do you normally wear in summer?
What Kind of material do you use in summer?

Can you make a little sketch or post some pictures of the clothes you wear in summer?
(e.g. Long Skirt? )

Jazakhum Allah Kher.

long flowy skirts are awesome for warm weather.
i have lots of trouble finding good shirts to wear though. people always talk about linen being nice for hot weather, but i find that it makes me sweat a lot more than usual :lovepant:

thin cotton tunics are a good choice for tops. all the best ones i have i got in kashmir. they're loose, modest, and breathable.
the ones i have from bangladesh tend to be a bit shorter, made of thicker material, and way too small for me (apparently bengali women are petite).

I wear cotton skirts, linen pants, rayon skirts. And cotton tunics and thin linen shirts. I scour the malls and eventually find full sleeved tunics and buy them in multiple colors. It's hard to find ones that aren't sheer though. I find a lot of hijabi friendly summer stuff in H&M- loose pants, tops.

assalamu alaykum

last summer i got some jilbabs made in colours other than black, but i found they were either slightly sheer or too thick...so this summer i'm opting for black (saudi) jilbabs, as they're flowing and thin and non sheer. with not much beneath, of course.

Jilbabs with jeans and a tank top under. When it got hotter I opted for long cotton tunics with casual pants or jeans with knee length button down shirts. Couldn't wear skirts since I feel the need to wear trousers under those [think stairs, trains, public transportation ].

And since you live in England you could check out these two sites; Rupali Online and Suit Me for cotton tunics.

Clothes? What are they for? Just walk around in your underwear and get skin cancer like all the other women do. :wasted:

no no, I kid. Cotton all the way for me. Even cotton hijabs.

Haha, indeed. Ummi gets rather upset at me for the sandals and the lack of clothes under the jilbab but *shrug* I can't do it any other way. By the way a long loose skirt and thin cotton shirt would do it.

No one can tell ur not wearing many clothes if there's no wind (which there usually isnt).

I tried the loose long skirts and long tops, but I felt much more comfortable with the jilbab..plus you just throw it on and it's muchhh cooler than anything else.

Pretty much what everybody else said. Summertime is when I rock skirts... they're usually cotton. Prettyyyy... skirts are so graceful and feminine.

If I'm wearing jeans/pants, then I tend to wear a kurta on top. My aunt sends me a gazillion from Pakistan.

With nice sandals/flip-flops and a breathable scarf.

I don't feel right without a jilbab under any circumstance.

You can wear a tank/halter top under your jilbab but what do you do for the bottom?

thin cotton trousers like pajama pants, but not made out of cotton knit. That's what I wore under my abaya when we did Umrah, we were there at the end of May, so it was pretty warm.
