That's an awesome show... one time he had to outmaneuver a tank in a car... he was tearing up these woods trying to get away, it was hysterical.

And no one complained about Jeremy's keffiyah. :faint:

And they use the A Team music. How appropriate. :blobred:

as salaamu alaikum,

top gear is by far one of the best shows on tv. the hosts and their humor, the camera work, the production, the creativity and absurdity of some of the things they do... its something not many other shows match in quite the same way.

a good example of the high quality of the show's production can be found in the segment where they drove three supercars in france so that they could take them across the milau viaduct (the tallest bridge in the world):

YouTube - Top Gear Bridge

thats just a short clip, the full segment was much longer and also worth watching.

if you dont have access to either BBC or BBC america in the states, do a search for a site called "final gear" and you might find that to be helpful.

no, they deal with cars. motorcyles have been on the show as part of speed comparisons and whatnot, but the show deals with cars.

I think he was saying it in reference to computer games. It doesn't take a clever person to know you wouldn't do that in real life :look:

Clarkson is like that, he's so sarcastic. I live close to Richard Hammond, my favourite is James May, his humour is fantastic and I find Clarkson slightly arrogant.

Did anyone watch the episode when they came to America? They used a different Stig that time as well :giggle:

Favourite episodes would be when they had a challenge to convert cars into boats, drive them to the water and make them not sink. In the challenge where they had to cross the Channel, all of their cars were smoking whilst driving because they'd put insulation to help float when they were in water. Then Clarkson was doing really well, the others sank (James May reaching for a cup of tea whilst drowning was hilarious). Then Clarkson sank eventually as well I think, they were all picked up by the police.

Also, when they were testing out whether an electric car was faster than.....a table. The table was carried by four people and it won because the electric car ran out of power.

And when Jeremy Clarkson was testing out the smallest car ever built, driving it around London. He always makes a big deal if he can't get into a car because it's too small :giggle:

I still think cars are mostly unnecessary and people really should be less lazy but Top Gear is ace. James May has his own programme where he explores scientific potentiality in the future, so things like time travel, flying cars etc It's quite good :)

as salaamu alaikum,

haha yeah, the was the Peel P50. at the end of the show he was like.. and there's a sports version too, here it is! and he uncovers the same car but with a clear bubble on top :faint:

one thing i love about jermey clarkson is his understated sarcasm. this segment on the cadillac cts-v is a prime example:

YouTube - Top Gear - Cadillac CTS vs. Audi Quattro - BBC

especially when he talks about the annoying "bong".. "i know the door is open, there's a gap! thats how i got out!" :)
