I kinda like those...
They're loose fitting, long, covers everything, and looks pretty comfortable,
just like what clothes should be!

um...

I like IbnM's posted stuff better than those and I didn't even care much for his picks.

If there's one thing that people knew about my father, its that he used to dress impeccably nice. No one could ever say he has poor taste in clothing, and no one can say that about me either. At the masjid, at the office, out in public, in private, at conferences, and so on, a lot of people - Muslim, non-Muslim, men and women - like what I wear and comment frequently on my choice, regardless of whether I'm wearing formal, semi-formal or casual, because I set a certain standard and that's because I dress for where I want to be, not for where I am.

I know what your choice of clothing is like, as seen in the previous thread of the same quality, and suffice to say, no one would take a second look at that stuff. So while you ARE free to post what kind of menswear you prefer, please don't tell me I have poor taste in clothing.

None of the stuff I posted was tight-fitting, and modesty is not alien to "style and class" - so please don't treat them as if they're mutually exclusive. I have thaubs and galabiyehs too, and they're not your average stuff.

Oh and btw, I hope you don't buy your clothes from Shukr, because if you do, you're really getting ripped off.

ibn thinks he knows fashion, but he hardly knows anything. The colours are not whats in this season and the style apart from few of the jackets are something thats not even in fashion anymore. Also guys in tight pants are plain wrong, you may see them on the runway but hardly any guy can pull them off and you would have to be as hot as Marcus Schenkenberg to pull it off, and sorry ibn your not even close.
so "brown sugar" why dont you leave fashion to the proffessionals, because really you know jack about it.

Nah, way too expensive...

and they usually never have XL/2XL....

And That stuff was tight...
And Style and Class, usually refers to some way to get attention...
Which Isn't modesty....

You can have your own opinion about what was posted, but please stick to the facts. The stuff I posted was from professionals and is from this year. And none of the guys are wearing tight pants.

If you want to hate me fine - I couldn't care less. But please try to be civil and leave personal opinions about a person OUT of the facts.

It wasn't tight, and if you call that tight you have no clue.

Style and class refers to what looks nice, and dressing modestly doesn't mean that you don't attract any attention - quite the opposite, when you dress nicely, people notice.

I'm sure you've heard the hadith about Allah is beautiful and loves beauty, and that's why we were told to dress nicely, according to the times, as long as it fits Islam's dress code.

ibn your fashion choice sucks. you look at runway fashion shows thinking you can pull the look off when what just happens is you come out look like a poorly styled metrosexual dude. anyways pick up a GQ magazine and come back when you know what looks hot and what dosnt.

Style is subjective so please stop.

I personally find that a mix of Ecko Unltd and preppy sweaters is stylish, however others would disagree. IbnM is a Professional in a fast moving industry, his choices would be very different from mineIN the same respect that lol_lol is a young, under 20 female, her style choices would be different from mine. Style is subjective in relation to whho you are and what you do.

fashion as an entity is bulldookie, its all about personal style.

assalamau alaykum

simplicity and humility in recognising clothes as a practical means to cover oneself is most praiseworthy... I like the old man look - kinda trench/brown/english gentleman look  will post pictures insha Allah. Andre 3000 and jude law have a pretty cool style.

True, but we are also encouraged to dress to our means and dress in a nice manner (aka stylish) in certain social functions (Jummuah, Bidem etc etc)

Off topic posts deleted. I don't understand why some people are having a hissy fit, we're all free to post, but stick to the topic, if you consider something different to be stylish, post that. You don't see girls bashing each other in the girl's fashion thread over someones taste. Womenswear might have more variety, but it looks like menswear still has more issues when it comes to change and masculinity. and ditto to what Revert said about personal style.

why do you associate simplicity with bumishness? see my attachments, I think they're quite smart And simple. Or maybe understated is the better word...

I don't wanna drag this out, as its been said already everyone has their own preference so people are welcome to post whatever they like. But the first one I posted is a photo of Kenneth Cole, the man himself. The jeans he's wearing are not tight, I can tell that just at a glance, and guys all over wear jeans like that, its a relaxed fit. I was just at Isha and tarweeh, a lotta guys come wearing black turtlenecks with dark blue jeans, very much like what Ken is wearing in that pic.

Yes, my definition tight IS emo-boy, smokestack, pencil-thin jeans which are just ugly.

 What an idiot.

Listen. I know you hate me for no real reason except that I've ripped you up a couple of times in the past, but please - keep your pathetic and unqualified opinions to yourself.

I already have nearly a dozen recent issues of GQ sitting not three feet away from me, and some of those images I posted ARE from GQ's site. Nor is GQ my only choice when I check out clothing - if anything, I look to see what people are wearing on the corporate street, in the office, at weddings and events, because that's what drives the labels and magazines.

In other words, you have no substantial or real reason to your objections, you only came and posted because you wanted to have a [girly] swing at me - and you ended up falling flat on your face anyways. So please, shut the hell up before I put you in your place. This thread IS about menswear and if you want to contribute accordingly, please do so.

If you want to rant and rave about how much you hate me, open up another thread and I'll willingly entertain you there PLENTY.

Everyone stay on topic please.

you know what it is? the cut is more of a straight leg type, which I don't like for men or women. bootcut looks better.
