Do us all a favor and dont buy that jacket. Click the link Ibn provided and get a jacket from them. Dont you already have a leather jacket anyway? What are you going to wear with the jacket?

I'm trying to find the old-skool 1930s-style banker cuff straps that were wrapped around the folded cuff above the elbow to hold them up. They're usually black but can be any color.

If anyone has seen them online somewhere lemme know or else I'll just have to make them myself.

My brother has some interviews coming up and needs a new tie. I wanna buy him one and I know that he likes skinny ties, but can they be worn to an interview or in a professional environment? He's interviewing with the people that are gonna write him a recommendation for med school and I'd hate for him to ruin his chances by trying to be too GQ.

Otherwise, I think that this looks nice:

i think he should be fine with a skinny tie. i honestly dont think they care much abt a regular or skinny tie.

btw, my bro is also into skinny ties now (and hes in med school too!)

is he applying to a canadian med school?

Just make sure that the collar style matches the tie knot - for example a spread collar doesnt work too well with a half-windsor.

Aside from that. the general maxim is to dress like your boss's boss. I dont know how they dress up at med school but I know that in the finance / legal / telecomm world ..... no director or GM or VP is walking around wearing a skinny tie. Its just a fad.

He hasn't applied yet but when he does he's going to apply everywhere...U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.

True. My husband wouldn't be caught dead wearing anything that isn't blue, black, or white to work, while my brother will rock a salmon pink, paisley-patterned skinny tie anywhere just b/c it's trendy...I just hope that whoever interviews him is into that too lol.

Wolfn, I am not attacking you or trying to insult you in any way, but yiur taste in clothes, shoes in particular, is just horrible. Jikatabi are strange, sure, but you like them and thats all thats important. However, just about everything else you choose is really unfashionable. Maybe you should take a class, or find someone who can help you out. Once again im not trying to be mean or insult you, just trying to offer some friendly advice.

Stacy and Clinton from TLC's What Not To Wear!

They find people who have bad fashion sense and then they go into their house, force them to throw away all of their clothing and then give them a thousand bucks to go out and buy all new clothes using Stacy and Clintons rules. Then they get a complete makeover and new clothes.

Its actually a pretty funny show. lol.

So...how skinny is too skinny?

No, I'm not talking about a person's body type. I'm talking about skinny jeans. This latest fad in denim is not only ubiquitous now, it's also unisex.

Still, men tend to fall into two categories, with respect to skinny jeans: those that rock 'em, and those that insist that only gay men would wear something so tight.

The truth is that all skinny jeans are not created equal. On the conservative end of the spectrum, you'll find jeans that are just a bit slim, and on the other side, you'll find jeans that could be mistaken for leggings.

Do any of you guys wear 'em? Or do you stick to classics like straight-cut or bootcut jeans?

Its not just the cut of the leg that matters its also the cut of the seat - meaning how tight it is at the crotch and at the rear.
