I def. want to go for a dark red...with gold..what bothers me is the tops...they're usually so ugly.

my mehndi, some of my jewelry, my oh so debated clutch bag. oh and my nails i cut and painted in the car on the way to the nikkah, my shoesies!!, and my husband and i. i loved my outfit and i was pumped that his mom didnt stress the kara dupatta too much lol.

so im glad that all my crapping about the wedding and stuff got erased when islamica went down because i take it ALL back. i love our families :flower: as soon as i edit my face out of a valima pic, i'll post one :cry:

lol they did that in Algeria too in Constantine, i think there were 142 couples. i dont noe how they do it? if its the kitb al kitab or secular ceremony? cause if its the kitb al kitab then i cant see how that is islamic.

not mandatory as far as i know. i think more people prefer to match their jewelry with their outfit (silver kaam with white gold/silver jewelry, etc)

it looks pretty bad when your bright yellow gold jewelry clashes completely with the baby pink and silver kaam dress. :)

I recently saw pictures of a desi wedding that took place here. I loved how the whole wedding was kept simple. The bride's outfit was mostly beige with a little bit of red, and she wore a red jewelry set. Her makeup wasn't overdone either but kept to a minimum. She looked gorgeous masha'Allah. It was refreshing to see instead of the usual all red outfit with tons of gold and makeup.

I went to this wedding recently ...I loooooooved the brides dress..perfect shade of red and the white/silver kaam accentuated it perfecty..her jewelry was pearly
but she wore gold bracelets so i dunno
