Salaams,

My sister recently had laser hair removal done---the place she did it at also has photo rejuvination which is suppose to even out your skin---has anyone tried anything like that?

Laser update:

So the first session was great, it zapped the face fuzz and didn't fry my skin at all, which was miraculous because my skin is dry and sensitive. My skin looked like it was glowing for weeks.

and then a month later was the 2nd session, the same laser setting was used, but it left marks on my skin, it looked like I had oversized freckles wherever the laser hit. The technician tried lower settings but it still left marks, she said since there wasn't much hair this time the laser wasn't targeting hair, but the pigment in my skin. Most of them dried up and peeled off in a few days and the others will disappear as well, however she said I can't continue laser if this happens.

So I talked to my lasered friends who said you just need to space out the appointments more (they suggested 6-8 weeks) and wait for the hair to grow back more. So I'll have to do some trial and error and hopefully it was just the lack of hair and not my sensitive skin being weird that caused the laser discoloration.

Wow :D . I hope it works out. Keep us updated. I hope inshAllah, in the future, I'll have a good job so that I can save up for laser.

Yaaaay, FPH is back! I just checked the Facebook group and saw that nobody really posted there when Islamica was down. I guess it's not the same, right?

But this is good. Don't be sad people; we can start over. :)

Assalamu 'alaikum, ladies~

I'm very confused. o.o There's only about five days left in this month and my period still hasn't come! My periods are like, eight days long.

I hope it's not one of those nutty periods I sometimes get which skip to the next month so I get two periods in the same month because I missed one the previous month. >>;

Anyone here ever got periods that are that off schedule?

EDIT: Four days, oi.

And I'm also having difficulty recognizing people other than nooni, Brotherhood, and such without avatars.

Yeah, my periods are whack like that too sometimes. Go see a gynecologist, whack periods like that could be a sign of future infertility.

As for avatars.... well, did anyone really miss my AMC Gremlin avatar?

Yeah, that happened last month. ^_^ Synochronized periods for the win! But this month's different, so I was wondering if anyone else gets periods that are all over the place like mine.

I probably am gonna be infertile anyway. ^^; But I'll keep that in mind! Thanks, ChotooMotoo and shortyroxrazia.

you know, if you have a hormone disorder and diagnose early, you can wind up preventing or circumventing possible infertility issues, so you should go see a doctor.

I'm SO mad. I came home from the gym, to notice that no one was home, the door was locked and I'm stuck outside without the keys that no one had the decency to lend me..so here I am back at the apartment club house in my smelly clothes..drenched in my sweat..feeling cold and hungry. I wanna go home and take a shower and eat ^_^
