I just finished a biography on Andrew Carnegie (who built many libraries in the US). Ok I mostly skimmed it but still.

What're you reading?

Harry Potter dies. There, I've saved you from reading the other half.

The Namesake
The word As-shams (the sun) is feminine, and Qamar (moon) is masculine. The sun burns itself to give light and life to everything around, and the moon is Muneer, meaning it reflects the light; it radiates the brilliance of the sun.
So when we shine as men, the implication is that we are reflecting the glorious light of our women.

You guys read slow. After I submitted my thesis to my committee I took a 2 day break. I bought the new Harry Potter book Saturday at 11am, and had it read completely by 4am Sunday morning. THat includes the time I took out to meet my friends in the park, buy my groceries, eat and use the bathroom etc.
Behold the gaseous stench of Skeletor's breakfast burrito!

Harry Potter sucks. at first i was into it but it was the same thing in every book ..i read the first book in 4 hours and the second, in 3.

blah blah, those books were really short. This last one was like 750 pages. If you only read the first two books, then I could see why you think it's the same thing in every book.

There are people out there who think the Lord of the Rings is dumb too. You're forgiven.
