I don't know that much about silat, but that's interesting. However, I've watched all these videos on youtube on bujinkan, and it looks like lots of fun. If I can find some way to get to the training place, I plan to start training after Ramadan, inshallah.

I did kickboxing for two years. Got upto purple belt. I'm more of a boxing fan.

I'm planning to practice bujinkan/ninjitsu when I go back to a university next year.

I've done Boxing, Kickboxing, Kung Fu and TKD. I've done some MMA too...i don't like traditional martial arts..its too new agey for me..i prefer to learn how to break heads.

So I REALLY need to join a martial arts class. I'd be interested in doing Jujitsu but I think it's a bit too touchy feelly. I want to do kickboxing or mixed martial arts but there aren't any schools nearby that offer such. I'd also totally be down for doing some Muay Thai but alas, no nearby schools offer it.

So I'm thinking of settling for Isshinryu.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a power ranger. So I took Karate at the local rec, and ended up getting a black belt in Ishunryu.

Isshinryu is good. I used to do a style based on it.

I rather just go for one of the three that I really want to do. We might relocate to Jersey this year, so I'll hold off.

Depending on what part of Jersey you go to there are plenty of Kickboxing schools. Just beware of the cardio kickboxing studios...
