Re: Cell Phones
just ordered an htc tilt. my htc wing is falling apart. i considered the htc touch, but i wanted a tactile keyboard. the tilt seems to fit the bill. hope it doesn't suck.

Looks a lot like the HTC Touch, minus Windows Mobile. How do you like it so far?

htc's are biggggggg, i was debating between n95 and soul. both have pros and cons
n95 pros:
gps, big screen, expandable memory, one of the best cameras
cons:
frigging huge, no real touch screen
soul pro:
frigging light, like the razr. decent camera
cons:
decent camera, smallish screen
htcs are good, but they're taiwanese *belch* and really big, not convenient.

Samsung is Korean. :P I had a couple Samsung sliders though, and liked them. But the keypads on their phones tend to feel kind of small for my hands.
But yeah, the Wing is huge. The Tilt is a bit smaller, which is good. My only real requirements were:
- qwerty keyboard
- touch screen
- windows mobile
Another thing I didn't like about the Wing was all the stupid crap/clutter T-Mobile put on it, which I had to get rid of. T-Mobile isn't selling the Tilt yet, so I got an unlocked version that should be free of all their junk.

Re: Cell Phones
windows mobile sucks. it freezes alot. and when you get a phone with both touch screen and qwerty keyboard your phone is more likely to fereze. i have mobiel 5 so its worse than 6, but still. i dont advise getting a phone with both those features. im thinking about switching from my tytn to the samsung jack.

Korean quality is now very well recognized. Tilt is huge too mate. I have a brand new one just sitting at home. Its just not convenient to carry around like slip it in your pocket. If the tilt was like really slim, with a better camera, it'd be the best fone.
Here's the Soul:

Re: Cell Phones
I should get a new cell phone for emergencies. I just don't know, I have a phone plan that is perfect, North America same no matter where in Canada/US I call, its all local, exact same bill each month.
Hmm :|

Re: Cell Phones
That Samsung Soul looks hot. I've seen the ads for it recently on telly.
I had a Samsung U600 last year, and it was very slick, but I found it's touch screen to be too sensitive. If you accidentally brushed the pad it would start calling people up, or exiting from menus. I traded it in for a Sony Ercisson, but given that the Soul looks so hot, I wonder if they've fixed that annoying feature from the U600.
