Re: Cell Phones
drama: try 0000 or 1234. those are usually the generic passwords. a lot of times its just asking for a password to pair, so lets say you put 0000, then your friend has to put 0000 to pair up with you. its sometimes not necessarily a password to access bluetooth.
and about the iphone...the 199...i believe is going to be on a 3yr contract with a data plan (which is $45+/month). which really isnt that cheap. its impossible for that phone to be 200 when we sell pieces of crap for 250. it has 3G and wifi, even the ipod touch is less expensive than that. i was arguing about this with a friend yesterday, i cant wait until it comes ou tan di prove him wrong.

Re: Cell Phones
I'm not really sure what to make of my Tilt so far. The size doesn't bug me much, it just has a few quirks (gets hot, keyboard input is iffy sometimes, slow processor speed). I've also ordered a Blackberry Curve. Not sure which one I'm going to be keeping.. depends on which one gets taken away. Sigh. Women.

phone-to-phone bluetooth connectivity is not consistently supported by all bluetooth-capable phones. check the user manual to see if it supports the "phone to phone" bluetooth profile, and if it allows for file transfers.

Re: Cell Phones
I'm sooo sick of Canadian Retailers overcharging us for the same model cell phones, cars, brand shoes and clothes, even groceries, etc. Even after the CDN dollar has climbed up in par to the USD.
First we have to buy things at a much higher cost, then pay ridiculous amount of taxes on top, like freaking hell!!!!

Re: Cell Phones
Alhamdulilah Thumma Alhamdulliah I have been given this blessed opportunity to get a Free Motorola Q9c from Sprint!
Today my phone(Motorola Q-regular) wouldn't charge for some reason, I got pissed and called up Sprint threatening to cancel. They listened to my demands and since the regular Motorola Q has been phased out they offered me a free Motorola Q9c as ransom!
I accepted.
I put the phone down and turned my regular Q on and off, and it worked perfectly.
Alas I have become victorious!
In other news I have found a cheap alternate to Bluetooth. Nothing sayings damn you capitalist greed filled economy , obsessed with fueling the jingoism of filthy rich CEO's, quite like cheap authentic alternatives such as this:

Now the real victory would have been to return the Moto Q9c back cause the regular Q worked after all.

Palm is actually one of the most underrated makers of PDA's. My friends who have Palm's have nothing but praise for its efficiency and ability to be customized.

sprint is pretty cool. i'm on the sero plan too and I ruined my Palm by cleaning it with rubbing alcohol (some accidently got into the keypad). I only had to pay $35 to try to get it fixed, and when they couldn't they just gave me a brand new one.
I can't believe they gave you a free phone considering how little you're paying for your plan as it is, but I guess since they're bleeding customers so badly, they are desperate.

Yea man Insh'allah they stay afloat. They are in pretty bad shape right now. But they go head over heels for their customers.
Something those aristocratic bastards at AT&T, don't know anything about= Customer satisfaction.
I am a Sprint Customer for lyfe insh'Allah.

Re: Cell Phones
price out for iphone in canada
Quote:
The device will run on Rogers third-generation, or 3G, network and will cost either $199 or $299 with a 3-year contract, depending on memory size.
The iPhone will only be available with the purchase of a monthly voice and data plan, with the cheapest priced at $60 a month for 400 MB of data, 150 weekday minutes and unlimited evenings and weekends.
There are also $75, $100 and $115 monthly plans that offer increasingly bigger buckets of minutes and 750 megabytes, 1 gigabyte and 2 gigabytes of data respectively.
All of the packages include unlimited access to Rogers and Fido Wi-Fi hotspots.
However, users won't be allowed to mix and match voice and data plans and will face overage charges if they go over their plan's allotted amounts of voice and data.
"The main difference between the Rogers and Fido plans and those in other countries is that there is a ceiling," said Kevin Restivo, an analyst at market research firm IDC Canada.
"These plans are still quite Canadian, but they put the iPhone in the realm of reality for prospective smartphone users."
By contrast, consumers in the United States will be able to buy the second-generation iPhone from AT&T Inc. with a $30 unlimited data plan that's available with any voice package - a model that some observers had hoped Rogers would adopt in a bid to drive wide-scale adoption.
But Rogers seems to have taken a middle-of-the-road approach.
"We've designed a pricing structure that offers affordable, flexible voice and data packages so Canadians can truly unleash their iPhone 3G experience on Canada's fastest wireless network," John Boynton, the chief marketing officer of Rogers Wireless, said in a statement.
While a $60 per month entry-level plan promises to put an iPhone in a lot of Canadian pockets, subscribers may still suffer sticker shock when they receive their first monthly bill.
That's because many will likely opt to pay another $15 or $20 a month for an optional package that includes Caller ID, text messages and call forwarding, among other things.
That brings the cheapest iPhone to just over $90 per month once a $6.95 "system access fee" and taxes are included.
