Is there a gmail thread out there? I couldn't find one. Anyway, I love gmail. And gtalk. It's so convenient, easy to use and almost at 6 gigs of free space!? Now I can receive all those emails with pics and not have to delete them.
Anyway, I have a question- my gmail address goes something like firstname.lastname@gmail.com (note the period between firstname and lastname) BUT i realized that if someone emails me at firstnamelastname@gmail.com (NO period) then I will still receive the email.. So do I own both email addresses, the one with and without the period, meaning no one else can sign up using those two email addresses???

Gmail probably just ignores the period.. so anyone trying to sign up as firstnamelastname will see that it's already taken.
