No. The most you can do is deactivate it.

But if you can't remember the ones that were deleted, they must not have been that good (or a friend got deleted who had the pictures in an album), donchyaknow

Maybe you can delete all your friends, change all your info and change the password to something gibberish. Then you'll forget the password and it will be the same as having it deleted.

there really is noway to 'delete' -- all info you post is permanently there.
that's why - it's even harder if you are actively posting on walls of other people, because there isn't really a good way for you to go and delete all those posts on other people's walls.
this also applies to all the group postings you have done.
if you have your own profile, you could technically delete all the portions. however, facebook by policy doesn't necessarily 'delete' any info, they just de-activate it from being viewed, or being visible.
once it's on their servers, it's on there for eternity.

What if you like, lob a huge EMP blob on the datacenter housing Facebook's servers?

that would probably work, if they don't have multiple locations world wide already.
i also think that probably can be categorized as some terrorist activity as per the patriot act.
it's kinda sad, people are so akin to thinking damage happens physically with violent weapons, they forget their entire electronic lives ( including social lives ) could be wiped out with much ease as well.

Yeah I was being facetious. Most datacenters that are worth their salt are literally hardened bunkers, able to withstand NATO missile strikes, EMP shockwaves, blackouts, fires, and more. I've put plenty of commercial entities into datacenters, there's never just one they're always spread around.
So in sum, we're all doomed.

Facebook Thread
I have a friend who got her account deleted.
Note: I didn't say deactivated. I said deleted.
She emailed facebook and told them to permanently delete her account and it took them about two days but they did it.
