Agreed.
I never knew how scary aunties could be until one girl I know came up to me all in a huff, she's like "OMG IF MY MOM ADDS YOU PLEASE PRETEND LIKE YOU NEVER SAW IT AND DON'T ADD HER!!"

Apparently aunties are on the prowl now and Facebook has amplified their annoying is-larka-larki-ka-rishta-lagao powers by a factor of a billion.

You all should stop being so shady maybe.

Can you imagine the auntie gossip if they all joined facebook?
Kya likha uskai dewaar pai? (translated: What did he write on their wall?)
But some besharam people could really use their parents being on facebook.
Its irritating that my brother goes through my friends list and adds anyone who hes said salaam to once. Hes got half the number of my wall posts and he only joined a few months ago (I joined back when it was thefacebook.com).

No one's being shady. Can you really blame us if we don't want gossip queens broadcasting every little bit of our lives into the community? Ogilvy would snap up these aunties like MAD if they could see the massive amounts of spin-doctoring they're capable of.

- They'd have new desi talkshows on ARY and Geo which would be filled 24/7 with cackling aunties exposing every single larki and larka, married or not.
- Watergate, Lewinskygate, Enron, MCI, ArthursAndersen, Nortel, and all other global scams would look like child's play in the face of all the superscandalous accusations that would erupt.
- Long distance bills would skyrocket.
- You would have no peace in the house because the phone would be ringing non-stop.
- Even the best-planned, made-in-heaven rishtas would be DOA.
- The divorce rate would probably surpass the national average.
- Disowning would be all the new rage.
mmmmmmmmm yea, no thanks.
